Brake light switch help

2007 Tundra

Rough country 6" lift

GM All, I have a 2007 tundra 4.7L and just recently without warning. The ABS and VSC with traction control lights came on . Scanned tool identified code C1249 stop light switch. I replaced switch however I noticed that when I turn on my lights with the light stick. Code lights come back on. If I drive without the lights on no code lights up?
Any help is appreciated thanks.
