I know it’s in here somewhere but I’ve tried to search it but can’t find it. I know it’s something down at the pedal and linkage. If you have the link shoot it to me please. thanks in advance!

Neutral safety switch or brake switch could be the culprit.

Had this happen on wife’s 02 sequoia, I’m sure it same in tundra. The switch itself might be fine but there is a plastic “bumper pad” on the brake pedal itself that engages that switch. With age it can deteriorate and crumble, causing the switch to be NOT engaged at rest, causing the lights to stay on.

search for and order the actual part, there are several band aid fixes including gluing one or two Pennies to that pad spot but none of them line up or work perfectly. You’d be amazed how small of an offset in brake pedal travel can effect drivability.

@Burgmane yes!!! this was the thread I was looking for! Totally forgot that my cruise wasn’t working when I posted this and a little piece of plastic in the floor board. SMH of course this happens right before I’m about to put it up for sale.

Im going the other way. I’ve got the 2000 and the 2019. Think I’m selling the 2019 after my big 2000 overhaul. Just not in love with it. If I downsize my camper I won’t need it.
