Time for brake pads on the front. I’m gonna go ahead and do rotors as well. Do y’all have any suggestions? I’m not looking for formula one stuff. I’ve been looking at the normal flavors from o’reillys and autozone but if there’s a better affordable option I’m all ears. 2020 SR tundra 2wd. Thank you.

Yup, if you’re wanting to keep it similar to stock, go OEM.

I haven't needed to change my brakes yet but I keep seeing Power Stop mentioned as well as EBC. Rock Auto sells the Power Stop front and rear entire pad n rotor kit at different prices based on what level you want from about $300 to $500.

I went with NAPA premium rotors, and Bosch pads. Been on about a year and they feel great still. Couple of my mechanic buddies have had bad luck with Napa pads squeaking on trucks.. hence the Bosch pads.

I like my cryo treated centric/stop tech rotors, and while the Hawk pads bite well, they are a bit noisy, so I may switch to centric pads, too. They are impressive on the wife's vehicle.

The rotors were a nearly 6 month wait during the pandemic. Not sure where they are at now.

Lots of threads on this topic, so easy research.

Just picked up all four rotors and pads.
OEM is the way to go when it comes to Toyota vehicles.

Going with OEM replacement myself. My local dealer always has promos on parts and I can get front rotors and pads under $200.

I just did OEM pads on the front. 98,000 miles on the stockers. But they were shot.

I've had 7 new-from-the-dealer Toyotas since 1985 and have never had to replace a rotor.

I purchased shim kits for mine as well.

My mechanic said he could reuse the old ones, but if you’re going to spend hundreds on new rotors and pads, don’t be cheap and save $40 on the shim kits.

I'm running Stoptech slotted rotors and Hawk LTS pads. Excellent quality stuff, but in the future I will use some other combo that makes less dust. I'm sick to DEATH of how often I have to wash my rims.

Can't go wrong with Akebono premium ceramic pads. They last a long time.

I want you to imagine you moved into a house 20 years ago, and forgot to dust on top of something until just yesterday.

They're DUSTY. Also noisy, freight trains flinch at my truck when I first get rolling in the morning.

I'll be doing different pads this summer probably. My EBC yellowstuff pads have been on the truck for like 15k so I don't feel like it's a complete waste, but still. Looking forward to quiet brakes again.

But they do bite well when needed. I'll give the LTS that.

I use these and they are the way to go. Otherwise, use the OEM ones. Quiet and clean.
