Yea mine would probably get f-ed up. That's what the rear full roll down window is for! It is pretty cool though!

    That is AWESOME!

Not because it’s cool, just another reason to charge 5k for a stereo in a tailgate.

I seen a 90k dollar F250 this year. In six years when I retire, I can bet that there will be production 6 figure trucks as the norm.

Cool setup, but, GM isn’t the first to do this or think of it. Homies on the block have been doing this for years :)

    None, yet....
    My thoughts exactly...

Seems like stuff that will just not work in 2-3 yrs, but you get that fancy step so that your skirt doesn’t blow up when you get into a real truck.

I haven’t seen one of those.

The 90k F250 I seen at the county fair was a Rousch edition.

Concept is cool I guess. It wouldn't work after a month of off road use. Or any real truck use.

Cool for all the mall rated and tailgaters

Vehicle prices are just out of control! We're in the process of shopping for a replacement for my wife's Trooper and it's just freaking crazy. Then throw on the 8.7% sales tax, licence, doc fees, blah, blah, blah, and I just want to puke. Trying hard to stay with a private party sale.

I read recently the Ford's average net profit on the F-150 is $17k. That's a LOT of profit margin.

Crap, my first house, brand new, was $73k. Granted, that was 1983 but, it was in California.

I think I'll just crawl in a hole now.

Just proof that GMC owners wont use their trucks as trucks.

That tailgate better be hard as fuck to remove too. Has to be a minimum $6k replace it.

I can see it being useful for some offroad racers. Wire their race radio to the speakers and listen to your race channel. I use and external speaker for that.

But with this you now get to listen to your favorite song and sit on your expensive tailgate while you wait for the tow truck to tow you home because the GM engineers spent too much time on a tailgate and not enough time on reliability.

Hit the nail on the head with that last sentence, but people now a days want all these gadgets and ask about reliability second.

Just experienced this exact thing this past weekend, meet up with a friend who I camp with once a month, he traded his 2nd gen Tacoma for a 2018 Chevy Colorado with all the gadgets his Tacoma didn't have, 44k truck. Gets to the campground and we notice oil coming from under the truck....oil cooler line burst! Look at it and the damn thing has plastic fittings in the ends...great design GM. So here my buddy is stranded 5hours from home with camper, but hey his truck has all those gadgets, right? That truck was 5mos old with 9800miles...the taco he traded was a 3yrs old 34k miles and never a bit of trouble.
