    Hello!

I have a thread out there with vibration issues, I’m trying to pinpoint what is going on. I did some research and seem to not find any good remarks on these tires. Does anyone have the 20” Bridgestone Dueler H/Ts? How are they? Recently around 3500 miles I started having vibrations at pretty much any speed over 20, mostly the floor board and my seat, nothing really noticeable in the steering wheel just maybe a minor feel of the road.

I really don’t want to have to spend 1k for new shoes, does anyone think the dealer will do anything? Would Toyota potentially swap for the Yokohamas? These tundras seem to be random when delivered to dealers with either Yokohama or Bridgestone. I have an appointment again on Tuesday, the dealer already balanced them once and a tire shop did again. Still nothing fixed it, I want to say it’s the tires at this point? I hope, unless something major is going on with the suspension or something.

10,000 miles on mine and they are fine. In other news, I don't think my front end is perfectly aligned from the factory. That's odd that a balance didn't fix it. Good luck!

25,000 miles zero issues. No vibration

Starting to think this may be the issue.. front tires have “feathering” on the outer edges. This is the only odd thing with the tires and it is only on the front. Looks like I may need an alignment too. Would feathering cause vibrations? I assume it could since it doesn’t really feel smooth and the wear showing on them is really bad compared to the back

    Back tires look normal:

Funny you mention the feathering. I too have the exact same type of feathering - only on the fronts and only on the outside tread. I noticed it after towing with some pretty heavy tongue weight. After noticing this, I rotated (in an X pattern) the tires at about 7k miles. now have 10k. Just recently drove about 150 miles with 1400lbs of brick in the bed (yes I know, slightly overloaded). I had the rears pumped up to 44psi cold for this trip (max for this tire). It hauled that load great, but now I notice the rear tires are feathering across the entire tread. To my knowledge, they weren't doing this before the heavy haul of brick.

I've hauled some heavy loads on previous Cooper tires, both E-rated and SL-rated, and never had this type of heel-toe feathering. Maybe I'm not rotating them enough, maybe it's the weight, maybe it's the torque, maybe it's these tires, maybe it's maybelline? I'll throw another 10k on these then probably get another set of Coopers.

I want to think it’s the tires, I’ve read several reviews of vibrations etc. the front are extremely worn on the edges compared to the back with barely 5k miles.

10k on my Duelers and all looks OK. But keeping an eye on them. My experience with OEM tires is Bridgestone/Continental is the OEM going cheap. I have had at least 3 sets as original equipment and the replacement Michelins have gotten 50 to 200 percent more miles on all 3. The Cont eloads on my 2500 were bald at 17k. The Michelin eloads did 50k

It’s only the outer edge. I want to think it’s something with the alignment or something in the front. Tires have always been at 35 all around.
I’m interested in a set of new take off red wheels with the Yokohama geolandars. Reviews seem to be pretty good on these.

Feathering is typically a symptom and not a cause. Something caused the feathering.

Whatever is causing the feathering likely is cussing your other issues.

The more I look into it, the more I think it may be an alignment issue related to the toe. When I swap shoes, I'll do an alignment as well.

100% agree. I’ll be getting replacements for the front from Bridgestone and will make the dealer do an alignment. If this happens again in 5k miles I’ll be contacting Toyota.
I know the trd pros had significant alignment issues causing this, so maybe some other models are affected by poor alignment.

Do you have any vibrations? I have significant vibrations above 40+ but it evens back out around 75. I’m thinking this is the culprit due to uneven treat on the edge of the tire.
