    Howdy -
I just discovered that the seat belt buckle in the back seat on the driver side is broken. You can not insert the seat belt. Anyone else have this issue and any idea if this would be warranty work?
    Thanks,
    Zlaneb.

Ive got the exact same problem with my 2018 Crew max. I have an appointment scheduled tomorrow morning to hopefully have it replaced under warranty. It's the black plastic case that's split and cracked. No idea how it happened.

Well, I'm not surprised but the dealer said they would not be covering the broken buckle under warranty. They can't definitively say the buckle broke due to it being defective and could be a result of wear and tear and that even if they did replace it under warranty, they have to send the defective part back to Toyota. If Toyota deems wear and tear, then the dealership is on the hook. Who knows how much truth is in this. They wanted to charge me (Canadian) $35 for the buckle and $60 labor to install. It's literally one 14mm bolt and takes all of 2 minutes to replace. I said thanks, but no thanks. I'll Gorilla glue the case back together and if that doesn't suffice, I'll buy the part and replace myself.

The restraint system's are covered for 60mo. 60,000 miles. I would speak to someone else at the dealership or find another to service it.
Check your owners manual and it will tell you whats covered.

I had one on my 14 that the buckle wouldn't go in and click. Instead of the hassle of taking it to the dealer and waiting, I just did it myself. Like 1794 said, its just one bolt. I ordered it online and had it done in less time than it woulda taken to even drive to the dealer.
