Has anyone purchased a Bug Deflector for a 2022 Tundra that actually fits? If so, could you share the Vendor information. Thanks in advance

Searched both forums and no luck finding that.

I found one on YouTube that listed toyota.ca however when I contacted them for a part number to order ( I'm US not Canada) they said they don't have one. ‍♂️

Thank you for searching. I have ordered two from the internet that were listed to fit a 2022 Tundra Crew Max, and both did not fit, they were way off. I’m thinking I should wait until they have time to produce correct fittings accessories. The first running boards I purchased did not fit however, the second one I purchased fit correctly. I have never had this problem with my other Tinder’s. Once again thank you

I had the AVS Areoskin on my last Ram and GMC trucks. I keep checking their site and was told there is no ETA on the tundra yet.

I purchased one from Canada and paid the inflated shipping to get it as I drive in the mountains a lot. Fits well.

AVS advised me they will be available end of June 2022. Weathertech makes them too but advised they don't expect to have them anytime soon.

It’s useful for bugs and rock chips. I’ve had one on every truck I’ve ever owned. My concern is figment for the aftermarket shield due to how tight the hood is when it closes. It may be no issue at all but that’s one thing that Toyota did with this tundra and that’s make the hood alignment fit extremely tight.

I have this exact bug shield. The plastic is much softer compared to others I’ve seen. I installed all the little bumpers on the hood as shown in the instructions so it doesn’t hit the paint, but mine vibrates like hell on the highway. Passing a car or a slight breeze driving 65mph causes it to vibrate loudly. If I drive over 75mph it flaps and causes the rear view mirror to shake so much it’s blurry.

I’ve had great luck with my AVS Aero Skin. No noise what’s so ever.

Does the AVS tape onto the hood?

@mrfreeman I just installed the EGR superguard and have exactly the same issue. Once I pass 70 mph, the shield vibrates like hell and makes a really loud noise. There is no way I can keep it in my Tundra unless there is a way to fix this. Have you found any fix?

To others buying the EGR superguard: I am afraid you might end up having the same issues. Keep us informed.

I haven’t found anything that helps. I did contact the manufacturer and they requested installation photos. I’ll let you know what they say.

I have found that one in smoke but they also make an option for other trucks in matte black. Which do you have?

I have the one in smoke. No whistling. I think it looks great. Double sided 3M tape all around. That said…no idea how I would remove it if I chose to someday…

I’ve been pretty happy with it. Just ensure you do the prep work and use the adhesion promoter.

I thought about that. Maybe put some vinyl where it tapes to on my hood first?

Same. Ordered mine from real truck and they have been in contact with EGR. They claim EGR knows about the issue and is working on it. It’s been a month now.
