Do any of you keep getting your build date pushed back? I put a deposit down in January. Got an allocation on February 21 for a build date of 3/25. Then got pushed back to 3/31. and then got pushed back again to 4/7. I have a feeling it's going to get pushed back again. Limited CrewMax 5.5bed (non TRD).

It's frustrating but then again hopefully this means they are hopefully tackling some of the issues that have popped up with early units. But at this point is just seems like factory/parts/staff issues?

Mine pushed 5 times before it was built on the 30th of March. It will happen.

Man, yours got pushed five times? That's rough. Hopefully, you get no more delays in processing and get it delivered soon.

I think it has to do with parts availability for the higher end trim packages. My SR5 that I put a deposit on February 1st, I was given a build date of 3/14, and it was built on time and in transit currently. ETA for delivery is Monday the 11th. Most of the "delays" I've heard of and seen on here are mostly owners of Limited or above trims.:crazy::notsure: or maybe I'm just lucky and crazy.

My Platinum allocation was originally scheduled for build 2/14, then 3/1, then 3/11, built on 3/15... should be delivered by the end of this week.

    :fingerscrossed:

It just seems like what Toyota does. My original build date was set for early Dec and was pushed back 4 times or so. The shipping part was even worse for me, loaded on a train and sat for a week in Texas, then almost 2 weeks at the train depot in Tn upon arrival.

Oof, mine was only pushed from 2/21 to 3/2. Plat 4x4 CM.

Look at it this way- the delays are because they’re finding issues so the more delays the fewer issues you’ll experience

That's what I've been telling myself. ETA is late July. I was hoping to get it earlier since I am doing a camping trip with some friends, but it seems that my Jeep is going to have to be doing the hauling!

Seems like you fell through the cracks, something sounds off, even for the current delays.

Delays are common right now. I've noticed most delays are for specific accessories at different times. E.i. Tundras with the Predator drop steps are delayed in production/build or at "port" Also, something tells me Toyota limited the production of the Tundra's from February to now as the test a few things. I can't confirm it but there are other Toyota products with these engines/turbos without issues but those products are built in Japan. Just speculating but it could be one issues or multiple issues. It will be worth the wait.

Not to high jack this thread but you didn't order anything as Toyota doesn't accept orders and haven't. They put you on a list with specific wants. Depending on the dealership, they either didn't get what you want yet and/or they don't get many Tundra's in general. I'd make sure I get an update if I was in your shoes. Maybe give them a second or third color option or something like to widen the funnel for yourself.

I placed my deposit 2nd week of January and don't have an allocation or build date. I was hoping to get something before July. Not looking good!

your probably better off getting one built later anyways, the amount of QC stuff on the site is amazing. they need to stop production and fix all this shit IMO.

I have been bugging the dealership and from what i have been told by other dealerships is, either that the dealership I ordered from is small and sorta gets pushed back or that the colour and configuration are rare and not built that often. I ordered SR5 Crewmax 6.5' Bed in Lunar Rock. So who knows, hopefully they have an update on the 20th, that seems to be the date they all get their allocation notifications.

My truck (which is scheduled to be unloaded form the rail car/loaded onto a carrier on Saturday 4/16) wasn't like yours where I went to the dealer and they placed an allocation request. I happen to stumble on the exact truck I wanted from a dealer about 45 minutes away which was already on a rail car.

Since I purchased it, the salesman has been taking screen shots of that dealer daily screen showing where the rail car is located currently. Anyway, that screen shows the truck was set up to be produced on 11/15/21. I thought wow almost 4 months from schedule to build. That would make me think it got pushed quite a few times. I hope all of you fair better.

According to information I've seen online, it appears Toyota is cutting 1,000,000 from production for 2022. I'm not hopeful about getting my order built any time soon.

Hmmm...I'm not able to find any new news about Toyota reducing Tundra production again?:monocle:
Would you be able to share any details?

No worries. I should've been more clear. I'm assuming Tundra production numbers are a part of that 1 million total that was cut.

I wanted something similar (SR5 not a crewmax) . You're right - I was told by 2 dealers its not the packages its the color. But its confusing to me because while I was told that by 2 different dealers, there's another dealer that had like 3 LR Tundra's. So my best guess is those that say with regard to allocation that if you sell a red truck you'll get another... are correct. Anyway my best guess.

You may do yourself well to find a dealer that has sold one or two LR trucks and go from there. Toyota allocation seems to be a mystery because just as you think you may have found a pattern and somewhat figured it out someone shows you different and blows your theory out of the water.
