I saw someone posted a website where you can check the status of an allocated truck by VIN. Anyone have the site addy?

To find what's coming into your region? It will not tell you what dealership that it is going to though.

 

Only dealers have access. There's nothing external for the public to use....unless you count Facebook. 90% of the posts in the 2022+ Tundra FB groups are people posting, "Here is my VIN. Can someone at a dealership look up my truck and see where's it at????"

Inevitably, some dealer employee who is also a group member (there are a lot it seems) will have sympathy and look it up in their system.

Or you could just ping your salesperson....cause that's kinda what they get paid to do. Just sayin'.

I don’t think you can get build date, because the VIN on the spec sheet of a vehicle that hasn’t been built is a dummy VIN until it is built. The date range indicated in Reddit is the date range for delivery to the dealer. You can enter the dummy VIN and see the allocation to the dealer and if it has been sold or on hold by the dealer, and finally the vehicle specs. Once built and assigned a true VIN, this link will let you see when Toyota thinks the dealer will get it.

 

How to spot a dummy VIN:

Dummy\Placeholder VINs: The last six characters are ALPHA-numeric
example: 5TFJA5DBXNX02G831

Real VINs: The last six characters are only numbers
example: 5TFJA5DB1NX011632

Hey. You are right that the Reddit site doesn't do much except give build info until you have the full VIN. But after that it has given me everything along the way. I keep double-checking against what the dealer has. My arrival date was pushed back, and then moved back ahead, and it even showed that. Instead of driving my dealer crazy, it is what I'm using to see if it is F status, G, status, etc. It'll be here on 4/3, so I'm chomping at the bit!!

 

Can you see Southeast dealer vehicles? I have someone that was helping me but it doesn't seem to show like regular since they aren't near me. Would love to see any info you may be able to provide!

Just got my trucks VIN, temp VIN is no longer available.
Inspecting the content on the guest site doesn’t appear to work for me.
Wonder if you wouldn’t mind working your magic for a build date, etc?

Hey Brums, not to hijack, but does that subscription you have give torque specs and such? Would love the specs for the suspension parts messed with when installing the Westcott 3/1 lift…
