Welcome to the forum from OKC! Save your pennies and the radiator, get a Ranchhand bumper set instead.

What an unhelp comment! The guy knows exactly what he wants, he wasn't asking for opinions. Suggesting he forgo a $200 bullbar for a $1600 ranch hand is silly.

Yes the bull bars typical bolt in right at the tow shackles. That is how mine used to mount. I've since gotten rid of it since I ended up not liking the look.

This is the style I am talking about:

Apparently you should read and attempt to comprehend his post again. He said "heavy duty". The crap you have pictured is not HD and is crap! Hit a dog at 35 mph and that thing will look about like the dog.

Nice! Enjoy. That's the style I was thinking you were talking about and will attach at the tow hooks like I thought. All you'll have to do is unbolt the tow hooks and re-bolt with the mounting piece for this sandwiched in place. Those bolts can be pretty stuck, so make sure to have a breaker bar on hand!

I think this style is more for aesthetics than ramming down your neighborhood dog...

Bingo! Exactly why I said that it isn't "heavy duty"!

20170828_174653_resized.jpg I mounted a 3" Ares bull bar on my truck but it was only to mount my LED light bar. As stated previously, in a front-end collision, it would probably push the bull bar back into the grill/radiator doing additional damage.

Deer strike at about 30mph in my first Gen. Bull bars are cosmetic, not heavy duty. The bar folded up like a cheap lawn chair into my bumper offering no real protection at all. Which makes sense. It’s mounted on there like a diving board attached only at one end. It was nice to mount lights on but didn’t expect any protection.
