    Hi everyone,

So just doing the basics here and on YouTube it said it was in the glove box for 2nd gen but I wonder why mine was behind the glove box.

Anyway I had some clicking noises and I saw leaves in my old filter. Stuck my hand down and couldn’t feel anything in the blower so hopefully this solves that.

I need your help. My gut instinct tells me that I should put this in with the letters upright but I thought air travels up through the blower so the arrow up? I don’t think it makes a huge difference but if I put it in exactly how the old filter was, the arrow would be up and letters upside down.

Any thoughts? Does it not matter?

Thank you, is that because air comes from outside and down into the blower and out thru the vents? Thanks again

Yeah, air is sucked in thru the cowl.

Ok so this was made in east Asia. With what you recommending making sense, I gave it another thought and I think for this filter installing with the arrow up and letters upside down (in the direction of the airflow) makes more sense lol. All the small debris and leaves were on the top of the old filter. I decide to put it in so that the folds on either end are pointing up as an extra safety net. Otherwise when the air is sucked down thru the cowl, small debris would be more likely to fall through.

Probably doesn’t matter too much, that’s what I get for going cheap.

It only matters in the sense that it is designed to optimize airflow in a specified direction. You may or may not notice a loss of airflow. No different then adding a HEPA filter in there.

most filters are made with one side (inlet) more porous than the other so that larger objects get trapped on the outside surface and finer particulates get caught deeper in the fibers. If you put the filter in upside down it will clog sooner as all particulates collect on the surface.
