I recently got a new (to me) Leer shell. When I put the shell on, the guy I bought it from helped me and we hoisted it up on my truck and tightened the shell down with four bolts running through some aluminum blocks that slide into my utility track down the sides (I have an 11' Tundra). They came directly from his 07' truck to mine, so same Gen trucks. I was expecting more conventional clamps though. He had two extra blocks and no bolts but I can't see any more holes in the shell rails so I think those were extras. Over the last week, I haven't driven it much but the rear window has begun to get out of alignment (to the right) with each drive, even after tightening the rail bolts the day after I brought it home.

The picture below was taken the day after bringing it home. You can see the bolt head up above the washer in the picture. I tightened them again that day. Yesterday, I drove through a potholey parking lot and the window moved even more to the right, out of alignment.

I messed with the adjustments on the window latches, latches on the shell itself on either side of the window and the hinge attachment to the glass. At this point, I can't seem to get the window back into alignment for now so it's latched (barely) on the right and the left side won't even close.

I'm pretty sure that (as soon as Hurricane Idalia leaves the area) I need to remove the bolts holding the shell on the bed rails and let the shell "relax" from any built-up tension from turning into those uneven surfaces like parking lots or graded streets. Does this sound like a common issue for those with experience owning a shell? The body of the shell doesn't look uneven or racked anywhere so it's got me perplexed. The only indication that anything is wrong is the ever-evolving rear window misalignment.

My seals are beginning to arrive too so I'll be installing those soon so I can lift it off and re-install it. My guess is that then I should be able to make the proper adjustments to the window to get it lined up. Does this bolt and block style clamp even work that well? I'm thinking they don't unless I really crank them down. Should I get some standard clamps and toss the bolts/blocks?

TIA for any of you with advice on what direction I need to go with this.
