OK. I do know what a compressor is. I am just wondering if folks are mounting compressors on their Tundra only for air suspension, or is it a general purpose compressor that can fill a bike, trailer, vehicle tire also.

Both. Off-roaders learned a long time ago that by airing down their tires, they are less likely to get stuck in mud and sand. Do so; however, requires you to reinflate before hitting the road again.

Impromptu air supply for a Senco roofing nailer because SOMEONE forgot to bring their padlock key to gain access to the jobsite’s Greeenlee lock box that the air compressor was in. I propped open the hood on my CJ7 and plugged in a 100’ long air hose into the compressor. The CFM was a bit low, but it did the trick for the next 6 hours while i was two stories up on an 8/12 pitch roof.

I just keep one in a box with my camping/or stuff, mostly for the air bags and reinflating low tires after off-roading.

Fantastic unit - it dips down to $145 on Amascam on occasion.

It uses the batteries I already have but I’m sure all the good brands like dewalt etc. are just as good. Way more convenient than a corded compressor. Not sure if it’s as strong as your 6 gal pancake but for tires it does the job.

There are two types of compressors generally. Tires and Lockers - High pressure low volume because a tire isn't that big.
Low Pressure High Volume - I had a hand pump and could pump up my 18' inflatable jet boat in less than 30 min.
Good for paddle boards and air beds too.
I'm sure portable like the Milwaukee will do both depending on how much time you have and how many batteries you carry.
Also some require a lot more AMPS to run than you might think, and get hot. So spec it out before you buy.

thankyou all for some guidance , appreciate all of you here in this little forum community, a little more details on my journey,, well i have looked into the clore automotive JNCAIR 1700 Peak Amp 12V Jump Starter w/ Air System , however it to is almost the same lugging weight , as my pancake air probably close to 40lbs , not a problem, but am aging , most of the time i just wanna reach into the bed of my tundra while standing on the ground. an when im on the side of truck it gets a tad difficult. ain’t 30 yrs old no more. , however the clore seems overkill , as i already have a noco portable lithium jump starter. Cruiser pilot i already have a hand/foot pump but got to save my back bro. something more portable would definitely be beneficial especially if it can handle truck / trailer tires.

Sigmoid rumbling below the beltline, hate that.

I have a WARN 9500 Compressor Winch. It’s attached to the winch motor. It is really efficient. I don’t know why no one liked them and hence WARN quit making them. I also have a ARB compressor but it’s the small one only for lockers. ARB makes expensive but pretty efficient larger models that I’d endorse.

I'm in the middle of installing a dual compressor system in my 24. Ran one in my 08 and used it for everything, tires, trailer, kids floaties, lockers, etc. Using dual Viair compressors and a 3 gallon air tank. Plan on putting a quick disconnect air chuck fitting in the bed of the truck for easy access. I'll post up in a few days on the final results.

I also had the ARB dual compressor mounted under the hood of my 2016 Tacoma. That was a great setup, I should have removed it before I traded it in. For my F250 Tremor I bought the MOORFlate TenSix compressor with the quad plus hose kit which I will use for the Tundra. It works great to fill and air down all 4 tires at once.

I keep one of these DeWalt inflators in my truck's tool box. Will run from either a 20V battery or from 12V via an extension cord. It has two different modes for inflatables with high volume and low PSI or for tires with higher PSI. It will automatically stop at the selected PSI

I liked it so much that I bought another one for my sailboat which is great for inflating fenders and the dinghy.
