I have been researching this question on this forum and online but dont have an answer. Ive even reached out to a few of the reputable suspension companies but no response yet. So heres my maybe stupid question... I have a readylift sst pro plus 2 for my 2020 TRD Pro and I feel once I add my canopy the rear is going to start to sag. Right now with just the decked system installed, the truck looks fairly leveled. Would there be any harm in adding 0.5 - 1" rear shackles?

    Thanks in advsnce.

What size block is in the rear now? I have Toytec shackles at 1.5 in mine along with 1/2 inch axle shims. I probably wouldn't do a block along with shackles. Others will chime in but I think it would start arching the springs. Air bags might be an option.

I have the 2" blocks from the kit. It also came with diff drop spacers to help with the CV angles. Right now, I love the ride as it feels like stock. Just prefer a slight rake.

The question is how much extension the shock can handle. Im just guessing that the oe shocks are already at their absolute limit with 2 inch blocks on full extension.

if i were you, i would disconnect the bottom shock bolt, then jack up the truck frame from the back and let the axle down to full droop. You’ll then be able to at least eyeball what the shocks can handle from there

The kit came with rear shock extensions. Kinda weird but it works.

I have the same kit on my "19 Pro but instead of installing the two inch block I did a 1.5" shackle and 1" block for a 2.5" lift for the rear. Keeps it raked.

I used to have 4" blocks with 1.25" shackles. Yes, you will pop your shocks if they are not long enough BUT only when you flex hard. If you're not dropping your drawers when wheelin then IMO it's fine - no harm.

You absolutely will destroy a set of stock springs doing that. They will be flat in no time.

This is some funny reading, I've had a block, AAL and shackles on for the last 61000 miles and don't have any issues.

Timely thread. I was at work today looking out at my pro and thought it just maybe looked a little saggy. I’ve got the +1 coachbuilder shackles that I added to offset the topper but think I should have done the +2. Didn’t want the exhaust interference though. Now I don’t want to buy another set of $300 shackles. Started thinking maybe a set of small blocks is the answer. Searched and found this. I’ll be following for more opinions.

Ive talked to a local Tundra owner who also has a TRD PRo with the ready sst pro plus 2 installed. He added the coachbuilder plus 2 shackles over a year ago and hasnt had any issues what so ever. Im considering now the coach builder plus 2 or plus 3 but am leaning more towards the plus 3 to get that extra half inch. Im thinking with the readylift kit including the rear shock extensions and the CB kit including the carrior drop spacers, it should be fine as well.

Sooo okay I’m wanna add the ready lift plus “2” pro kit. I already have CoachBuilder pro kit with +3 shackles “1.75” lift. I want take off front CoachBuilder 1 inch and add ready lift to get full 4 inch lift on my pro. 35’s look to stuffed.... so now rear lol. Wouldn’t be a good idea add the “2” that comes with ready lift right???? Should I buy “1” inch block instead for rear with already CB +3 shackles??? Sorry just want to confirm this before I pull trigger on this...

I have CB+2 shackles with the diff drop on my 2021 Pro already. Thinking about adding the Westcott Fox TRD Pro Kit below which comes with a 1inch block. I was thinking I’d need to swap out the CB shackles to +3 and not use the block. But reading through here looks like I’ll be keeping my +2 and using the 1inch block in lift kit. And shouldn’t have any issues. Any thoughts on this????

Did you end up doing the shackles and 1l block? I’m in the same predicament. I’m afraid my bilsteins 5100 aren’t long enough in the back to add the 1inch block. I already have the +2 coachbuilder shackles in the back, I’m not slightly front high
