Probably a dumb question, but will I break anything if I manually pull my power folding mirrors in on my 07 limited?

I’m looking ahead to winter, when Ice May form on the mirrors.

I’m wondering if manually folding the mirrors can do any damage to the motors for any reason. It’s a great feature to have, I’d hate to burn the motors out from ice causing them to stick, or to ruin the motors from manually folding them if that somehow could be an issue.

I’m in the same boat where my rig won’t go in the garage without the mirror pulled in.

My son pushed one of mine in once, when I pushed the button (twice) to get it to pop back out it made a scary sound. I told him don't do that anymore. I'm just waiting for the motors on mine to start giving me trouble. They get used a couple of times a day minimum.

Yes you can do this. It is not recommended to do a lot but our mirrors are breakaway mirrors. Depending on how your truck is wired or if you are using my harness, when you start your truck, your mirrors should automatically reset. Yes. They may make a popping sound or a sound that you may not like, but that is normal.
