Alright so I finally got some 2885x on my eibachs pro truck adjustables with SPC uppers.

    Currently set at lowest clip

Front is measuring 20 inches hub to fender, give or take a few decimals ( ground is not even)

Just cant believe im not even getting 22 , these are brand new everything. Should I boost up the eibachs to second from bottom clip? I thought for sure with new coils I would get the lift...

    Those numbers are basically stock.

I'm still super confused why you went with the Eibachs when it's relatively uncharted territory, compared to the proven track record of 5100s at roughly the same price, and 5100s don't have issues with lower shock mount freezing up in salty areas that I know of. Eibach says the kit is only for 2WD at the US site, I remember I pointed it out directly about it over here. @rock climber had some pointed feedback recommending skipping Eibach's kit. But I don't want to guilt you, doesn't help solve your problem, so moving right along...

I realize @Mustanley had a different experience per that thread, maybe he can explain what he did differently. Mind you, I'm an Eibach guy, I've probably used their stuff in a dozen vehicles or more over the years. I looked at the same kit initally because of the name/reputation, but skipped because "RWD" on the US site. There has to be a reason, and now I wonder why you guys don't see that on the Canadian site?!

Their support team is pretty solid. You may want to give them a call; I'm not sure if they'll support you, seeing they claim it's for 2WD and your 4WD is definitely quite a bit heavier in the front. But you said you emailed, did they confirm this setup would work, or give settings advice? Typically on the 5100 you gain 1/2" - 3/4" per circlip or something. That's your next-only option here I can see, really, you should get similar bumping up, but that may be a PITA with lifted springs, I dunno. I wonder how harsh the ride would be and if you'd see earlier failure/fatigue/clunks/knocks/etc.

Or buy 5100s and install them, sell the Eibach kit, and moving right along ...

Please correct me if I am wrong here but aren't the 2885 OME's a 590lb spring?

Did you remove the Eibach springs that came with? Do you have another set to measure the free length? I don't know what the free length is of the pro truck eibach springs that come with but I'd bet that they do offer at least a little bit of lift on a 4WD (yes I know some websites say 2WD only). You get the additional lift (over whatever comes without preloading) by preloading the spring - so if there isn't enough adjustability with the shock body you have to preload the spring (either because the total free length isn't sufficient OR they're to weak for a 4WD DC (590lb) OR a combo of both, then you may not have a winning combo on your hands.

If you don't want to throw money at parts and are willing to mess with the circlips then you definitely should try that. You may be able to compress spring on truck and then bump it up without having to remove everything. If you DO remove everything take some measurements of the 2885 free length so you have it as a baseline.

Bilstein offers a 650lbs and 700lb spring with the 6112 kits. What would the equivalent OME be, 2886 or 2887? maybe you could contact vendor you bought from and see about a swap? Not sure how much lift you're shooting for though.

That's a negative, neither. 2886 is the closest you can get and would be a tad taller than the 2887. Worth noting technically none of these are necessarily "made for" the 1GT.

OME 2883: 375mm in height, 590 pound spring rate
OME 2884: 390mm in height 590 pound spring rate
OME 2885: 395mm in height 590 pound spring rate
OME 2886: 402mm in height 660 pound spring rate
OME 2887: 400mm in height 590 pound spring rate
OME 2888: 405 mm in height 590 pound spring rate

Given this new info OP, you may want to consider a tougher spring. Lots of recent chatter on here about folks, including myself, that've used Bilstein 6112 system with 650 OR 700lb spring and we all seem to be pretty happy with em.

I am with mine but I don't have any additional weight hanging on front, skid or otherwise.

Lots of info on here of DC guys levelling their trucks with 2885 and 5100 also, though ... yet with the Eibachs and 2885, OP is technically losing height compared to my factory struts.

Yep, because spacing from tophat to collar is longer than with Bilsteins. His only hope is to bump way up with his circlip and hope he gets a little compression (if he wants to keep his parts).

Makes sense. I was looking for measurements on the Eibach kit, but came up empty. It's weird, I expected to find that directly on their site but didn't see it.

    Thanks everyone, appreciate the info.

I found an old threat on Tundra solutions last night that confirmed what I thought, here it goes :

Another guy had a 06 DC 4WD with same setup as me , except it was 5100 vs eibachs. He claimed no lift with the 885 at lowest clip settings, which is same as me. Just to Clarify I'm not getting less lift , just not more than stock. He said he would bump up the clips to 3rd notch and see what that does, but never checked back in... From 2017.

@shifty` reason I went with eibach is progressive valving VS digressive 5100's . It makes a significant difference for on road driving. Either way though, the shock doesn't lift the truck, so the eibachs aren't the issue here. The only issue is if indeed the eibachs are a longer gap between top hat and bottom, which I don't have confirmation for

I Concur that as a 590lb Spring, I believe that is my issue, considering others have pointed out much higher numbers for other setups ( 650lb, 700lb) . So what I'm going to try to do today is the middle clip( #3) with 885's , and see what that does.

If not enough lift, I'll be getting 886. I saw alot more succes on these heavy ass trucks with 886's on lowest clip from many members of tundra solutions on that old thread, usually getting 2 - 2.5 lift on a double cab 4wd.

Keep in mind, those claiming leveling with 885's usually have 2WD or an access cab.

This is my conclusion based on hours of thread reading and research.

I will post back with results! And again, thank you for the input

It did not come with springs, and I did not get the eibach " lift spring " because it was said to be only 2WD. Originally I was going to use stock, but that failed miserably

    Lastly:

I did compare what I believe is stock springs ( can't be sure ) with the 885, and 885 is longer. But, I'm willing to bet stock is a stronger spring, can't be sure though. I did find the OEM springs online and it says 360mm, so 885s are 35mm taller

It works, but I think my stock springs are quite tired. I had them set on 4th clip up, and it was pretty much no lift

Could be, but shocks don't lift the truck, springs do. So it's most likely the springs

That is true in theory, but if a shock isn't providing some semblance of resistance, the suspension will absolutely sag, and an inch wouldn't be unbelievable.

THe ARB coils are so weird in real world lift. On my previous 01 access cab, I used the Old Man Emu shocks with 2885 coils and got 3.5 inches of lift (24.5 from hub to fender). Granted that's an access cab to double cab comparison.

Anyway, if the ride is good and you just need more height, I'd raise the clip. If the ride is too soft, then look at a stiffer coil.

I also wouldn't be afraid to try further up the clip settings if its longer between clip and tophat vs the 5100's.

    UPDATE

Alright finally!! Just finished raising clips to 3rd notch ( middle ) and we finally have liftoff! Was beginning to think my truck was possessed or something..

    So:

front pass and driver are around 22 now, hub to fender, give or take. Rear is around 23, give or take ( my driveway isn't level)

Question is now , do I keep it, or just get 886 and call it a day. Especially knowing that the 885 are brand new, will settle... Not sure if I want less of a lift than that. Atleast 886 I can start on bottom and raise to second clip if I wanted to , especially down the line for winch and bumper.... Decisions! anyways here's some pics

Wow, that was fast! I'd drive it around for a bit and see how it drives and also if it settles.

Also, since it's new, I'd anti seize the lower bushing so it doesn't freeze like it did for me and Iassami

Yea haha I wanted to get that done asap. Yea fair enough for driving around and seeing if it settles

Yea I put some grease in there that has Antiseize mixed in ( Lucas red ) on the bolt , I'm sure it won't be as good as copper antiseize but I didn't want to buy some

The height does look good, 22 is perfect IMO. Buuuut, if you plan to do a winch and bumper then there shouldn't be much of a question. You can wait and see but the result will be sag for surely.

Looks like SPC uppers maybe? Do you have one more notch to go or are you at the top for those Eibachs?

Thanks! Yea I've got spc uppers already

I'm on notch #3 , got 2 more to go but I don't know if I would want to crank it any higher honestly, with more weight I rather go with 886... Still haven't decided if I'm keeping these or not, but yea right now it's good

    Alright update:

Drove to what I felt was a fairly level spot

Also did a articulation check in driveway ( pics)

    My numbers are :

    FD 22 3/4
    FP 23
    RD 22 1/2
    RP 22 1/2

As you can see there's the 1/4 " taco lean " in the front, easily correct with 1/4 inch spacer. More interestingly, the front is slightly higher than the rear. I like that because it's will settle eventually, probably slightly lower than rear which is perfect

As for flex, it seems fairly level when flexing. Like the truck isn't rock solid in front , not articulating at all. I'm thinking once springs settle it will flex a bit more as well , springs slightly softer.

    Thoughts on it all?

I think it looks good, what are your ground to fender flare measures?

I'd personally bring down the front myself, just to get that rake while maintaining lift; one notch/circlip should do it. Upshot is, you probably won't need to re-clamp your inner CV boots due to lessened angle, but you'll still be getting a nice lift out of it.

I can't tell from here if you've seen any sling yet. It took a hundred miles or so, and being up on a lift a couple times before mine showed up. https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...-gen-tundra-today.2558/page-1715#post-3343344
