Hey everyone, I'm stuck. I'm putting on my lift and I'm at the step of jacking up the control arm back to bolt onto the ball joint assembly. I have removed the sway bar out of the way and now I can only get it up about 2 inches shy to bolt before it just starts lifting the truck instead. What can I do? Thanks!

^^^ that, and if that doesn't relieve enough binding then loosen the upper control arm bolt as well to allow the knuckle to drop down onto the LCA ball joint bracket.

I ran into something similar and had about a two hour headache before I realized the axle shaft had pulled out of the differential about 1/4”. Wiggled the axle shaft back and forth until the splines realigned and the control arms literally fell into place.

I had a similar problem, but I put the strut perch on upside down. One side went together just fine and then I was saved by this forum after wondering wtf was happening with the other.

The ratchet strap trick worked for me…make sure your CV joint hasn’t pulled out either. Another member here had that problem.

Check the build link in my signature.
The Westcott lift instructions have you use a pry bar to pull down the UCA leveraging against one of the coils of the spring. Worked like a charm last weekend to get things lined up for me

Success! Well, mostly. Using the ratchet strap to pull the upper control arm down I was able to line everything up and bolt back together. Only catch is I think I may have stripped out a couple bolt holes for my sway bar brackets when putting the sway bar spacers in. They looked like they where straight while laying upside down o_O. Not too big of a deal to correct that though. But the worst part is done thanks for the tips!
