In this video they say the Capstone will be $9000 more than the 1794, wonder if that’s hybrid or non hybrid (as others have noted we find out 2/1 anyway)

According to all the press releases coming out there will not be a non-hybrid version for any of the Sequoia models. Meant to say CAPSTONE, been watching too many Sequoia videos lately. Did see new ones today, one stock and one with factory lift on it . the lifted one really looked good, the stock one was nothing special.

My understanding is that all Capstones will be iForce Max hybrid only.

$9k sounds high over the 1794 but with exception of OR, it has almost all other options built in (which can add up too), plus a few extras that are Capstone only. Without doing the math, that may be about right, especially if that 1794 comparison isn't the hybrid.

Re-reading your OP, thinking we may have the same question... Is the $9k upgrade for Capstone over 1794 gas only or 1794 hybrid?

Could be $9k from 1794 iForce truck. Base price is nearly $58k and fully optioned is $64k. That would put Capstone at $67-73k.

Using your #s, I can see the possibility of ~$3k upgrade for the extra features over 1794 plus another ~$3k more for hybrid. Hoping the hybrid upgrade is even less but given the cost of the inverter, electric drive motor, battery, and cabling, that would seem reasonable (and maybe a bit of a deal if that extra torque is your priority). As stated, should know Tuesday...

https://www.haleytoyota.com/new-Midlothian-2022-Toyota-Tundra-1794+Edition-5TFMA5DB7NX007923 Saw this today, it would put a capstone at almost 75000.

Toyota just auctioned off the first capstone vin#001 and TRD pro vin #002 at Barrett-Jackson. Cap sold for $700k and the pro for $500k.

Why would anyone pay that? They are not collectors items. Am I wrong?

It was auctioned for charity fundraising (special Paralympics) and they are VIN 001 and 002, so potentially some collector value.

Chill out. Did his post say anything about that? I bet majority of the people that read that post had no idea it was for charity.

As I read this thread I didn't know about the auction thread either.
But I don't live on the forum 24/7 as some do.
They don't miss a single thread, and good for them....

I like the look of the 1794 better - the black and white really turns me off. But an extra $9k for the added features and hybrid is not bad.

Not impressed with the MPG’s, but they’ve said the hybrid was going to be a tow rig more than a gas saver from the beginning. This video also shows the released pricing before all the dealer fluff.
