Sorry if I missed it but I did a search and couldn't find the info. I emailed Carista - they took several days to respond (with a nice apology) but didn't answer that part of my questions.

I have to do something about the obnoxious seat belt alarm for when I get the mail and drive up my (private) 1500 foot driveway. It's going to deafen me.

So, has anyone used it successfully on a '24? I assume it should be fine but would like a thumbs up before I order one. I would want the seat belt alarm gone, all windows down on unlock hold and removal of "enhanced" engine sound. But honestly just the seat belt alarm is worth the price of admission.

    Thanks!

I have used it on my '24 SR5 and sucessfully turned off the front seat belt alarms. Did the same in my '24 Grand Highlader. I have left the rear seat belt alarms enabled in both vehicles for now. I do not have an option to disable the enhanced engine sound so I assume that the '24 Tundra no longer has this feature.

Thanks, that is helpful! Did you have the all windows down option and/or activate it?

Only trims/packages with the JBL audio have the piped-in engine sound and active noise canceling. If you don't have the upgraded audio, you won't have the option to turn it off.

I just took mine to the dealer on Friday and they deactivated the seatbelt alarm for the front and back seats. They had no problem with it as I explained to them I drive on my farm or have weight in the seats and I wanted it deactivated.

Whats interesting is they put the truck into service mode by typing in some code on the screen. Would be nice to know that procedure.

Worked on my 2023 even though that wasn't a year available when ordering. Also worked on friends 2010 Honda which leads me to believe it work work on anything with the ODBC2 plug.

Turned off seat belts, turned off fake engine noise, switched lane change blinker from 3 to 8 blinks.

I'm new to the forum. I've searched around here and elsewhere. I confess I am a bit frustrated and need some help, please.

    Questions
    1. Are active noise controls via Carista available for a 2024 Toyota Tundra, Platinum which has the JBL enhanced sound system? If yes where are they located?
    2. How am I supposed to get that one month free?

    Background
I just purchased a 2024 Platinum Tundra. I am a bit of an audiophile nut, so I like quiet. Adding fake noise to the cabin through JBL speakers (yes, I have them) is something that has to go. I researched and it seemed Carista was the way to go, especially as I could get the "first month free".

I ordered the ODB2 Adapter it from Amazon by going directly to Amazon, not navigating there through the Android Carista app. It showed up yesterday.

I tried to use it immediately and have the Android Carista app connect with the dongle. However, I was presented with a registration screen that refused to accept my email domain as a valid. I tried on an iPhone, too, with the same result. I tried creating an account directly at their website, only to have the process completed using another domain for the validation process. I almost thought it was spam. I still could not log in on the Android app.

Today, I decided to go ahead and use my google account. For reasons I won't go into, I have resisted using it. That works. I am now in the app and I can connect to the dongle.

But ... more frustration. People say the fake noise control is under "active noise control" but I don't see that. When I try to save something I can change (e.g., changing the blinker to flash 5 times instead of 3 for a momentary contact), I get prompted to subscribe. Ok. I have seen some people saying you subscribe for the year, get the first month free and then cancel within that period to get the first month free. I bought the unit for eactly that scenario. However, when I head down that path in the app, there is a statement, "You are not eligible for the free trial."

I want to make this Carista work, I really do. But, I am quite frustrated at present. I've spent a several hours now of my weekend trying to get this to work. I am close to giving up, asking for a refund and taking it to my dealer.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you.

[Edit] I confirmed I do indeed have noise being pumped into the cabin. I saw a post that said leaving the tailgate down would deactivate it. Yep. With the tailgate down, there was no low rumble when I hit the gas peddle. Nice bit of insight, that.

When I registered I signed for a year. There was no charge and after a couple weeks I went the the Play Store and cancelled.

I changed lane change blinker from 3 to 7, shut off seat belt ding, and turned off engine noise. On one of the Carista threads I took screen shots of all the menus.

22-24 model years the features available are all the same in carista. it just depends on your trim level on what you can change.

pay for a month, make your changes. after you make your changes, most likely you will never need the app again during the life of the vehicle.

as least that is what i did. if you dont want to spend the $10 for a month go get the lite techstream on a laptop and try to figure that out if you dont want to pay for the convience of carista.

i have techstream but trying to get it to work for free was to much of hassle and i just paid the $10 for carista.

Thank you. I just went ahead and subscribed. Things seem to be working. What through me off on finding the the engine noise and active noise cancelation controls was their location. I thought I'd seen other posts indicating it was under a customization submenu of "Active Noise Control". It's actually located under "Engine & Chassis." In my driveway, I put a little gas on the throttle and then changed the enhanced engine noise to turn from off to on. The difference was noticeable ... and confirmed why I wanted it off. I've also changed the momentary blinker contact from 3 to something longer (5, in my case) as I've noted many talk about doing.

    Thank you, again.

I believe I did this through the infotainment screen settings. But I would have to verify that. Just working off memory.

It is definitely noticeable, it just blows my mind that this is not a option in the user interface.
I understand some things they only want the dealer to change, but to me a quieter vehicle is better, companies spent countless dollars trying to achieve less noise, yet the Tundra adds it because some people want to hear a V8 while driving a V6 ? It's one of the things I do not miss about my 2016, it had a truck growl, it was loud. When I first got it I thought, this is a bit much. Then I got used to it.

Also know when you are driving now, you can hear the turbos occasionally if you really listen. Maybe that was the goal, to hide the turbo noise.

Correct. Did it on the main center screen. Not the digital cluster.

Has anyone had issues with the headlight auto sensitivity settings or the steering wheel/seat moving out of the way on entry/egress.
Both of these are options in the app but I have been unsuccessful. When it fails the request,it gives you two options ,one is acknowledge failure or 2 reporting it with a description.
I have been reporting it to Carista and they have been pretty diligent with responding back,I believe they are not from the states due to time stamp returns.
Anyway they have requested I try with the same commands with and without engine on,and still no victory.

Has anyone else run into the same request issues.

Thanks, and I appreciate you chiming in on this,I just tried and did exactly as you described and that's a negative Ghost Rider.
My attempts have been with my phone and infotainment console.
I honestly feel bad for the Techs at Carista because with each fault they request an email, well there's a convoy of em headed their way.
Hopefully I can get an answer to remedy this.

I used it on my 24 platinum max and works great. Also used on our 23 rav4. I did all my changes with the engine running and had no problems. With that being said I could not get the app to work on my iPhone at all but it works great on my iPad.

I have the Carista thing on order but this comment confuses me - how would one put the truck into 'on' mode without actually starting it?

I bought the dongle early spring and used it for the the immediate seat belt chime fake V8 noise and directional increase from 3 ~ 6 and worked like a champ,in fact I hooked up a few colleagues who had compatible vehicles as well.
But now trying to do these adjustments not so good.
I've tested to make sure that it's functioning by screwing with the head up display and other things and works just fine but not on these two items.

I dunno still waiting to hear back from them.
    Thanks all.

when the engine is actually running its in "ON" mode.

to put it into "ON" mode without the engine running you press the start button twice without pressing the brake pedal as mentioned above.

the concept is no different than using a keyed ignition. off --> acc --> on --> start --> on

I am having problems with Carista. Trying to do the driver seat belt beep disable. It shows as disabled, but it is not. I sent several problem reports to Carista and each time they instructed to try it with ignition on, engine off. I have tried this numerous times without success. Mine is a hybrid.... can I do this in ACC mode? Is it a problem when the ignition is on (Ready) and the engine is not running? I am starting to get a little disappointed.
