I’m curious if anyone has had a similar issue or if I’ve missed a setting somewhere. When first starting up my truck my phone will connect to carplay, but if I hit the play button on Spotify there is no sound. I can turn up the volume on my phone and in the truck but nothing happens. The only way I’ve found to resolve it, is to get out of Carplay and hit “enable audio” on the music tab.

I’ve had this happen before. Seems to be a bug with Carplay since it’s happened to me in other brands. One way I found to reset it in the Tundra is to hold the power button on the head unit to reset everything. Usually Spotify will work after this.

When mine plays with no sound I go into the app on my phone and press pause and play and it usually starts playing again

I’ve always thought this issue was apple CarPlay. Sometimes pausing and pressing play solves it. Other times I had to close the Spotify app and restart it on the phone. Usually restarting Spotify app solves the no sound issue.

Mine does this. I hit “Mode” on steering wheel and it plays. My spotify now has recently not displayed. Just a blank screen now idea how to fix it

YouTube Music here. Randomly sound quits but song keeps "playing"
I have to click "Enable Audio" to get it to play again in the Toyota audio settings

    Rci skid plate,
Every time. I have to close the app on the phone. Close the phone then hit Spotify on the screen and it will play. No volume or volume controls when issue happens.

This happens to me about 90% of the time. Haven't found a good solution to resetting yet. I've tried rotating Modes, pause-play, resetting the headunit, changing what device Spotify plays then back to Carplay, etc. All these have worked but never consistently. Also 90% of the time my Spotify resets and doesnt play the last song it left off of and I have to select a playlist or song every time I get in my truck.

Mine has done this a couple times. What I do is go into my phone and exit out of Spotify completely, then open it up again and that usually works to get the music to start playing again

This happens to me all the time. My simple fix (although annoying) is to press the volume knob in, which switches to radio. Radio sound will instantly play, then press the play button on your screen for Spotify and you should get sound from Spotify.
