What resistance should the downflow sensors be reading on our trucks (4.7l)? And thus, what size resistor should I use in place of them when I delete my cats?

Where do y’all reckon would be the best place to buy one of these resistors?

I found some 13k resistors on amazahn, in .25w and 3w. What wattage are the o2’s running at?

When I first deleted my cats (long tube headers & full exhaust) I tried going with a magnum 02 sensor simulator. Worked well for a couple months. But ended up not lasting for longer than a couple months & too expensive. I ended up welding 2 bungs on, drilling the holes different diameters (still very small) putting in an 02 sensor spacer/anti fowler and putting in 2 new o2 sensors. And no problems. Just food for thought.
I will be stoked to hear how the resistor works!

Yes! I thought of that and if the resistor doesn’t end up working that’s what I’ll do

LMAO! The forum will allow the violation of federal law to be openly discussed but mention the Holy Grail of political-correctness (i.e. the inability to mention politics or criticize it) and you'll get banned. Cognitive dissonance anyone?

No smog checks where I live in BC, Canada. So this applies to me. And there's off road only trucks as well. Iam okay with trucks only discussion in a truck forum. I'm part of a hunting forum as well. And my o my. Every thread gets derailed and goes off the deep end. This place is better.

No one's forcing you to be a part of this forum if you dislike it so much. If this place isn't adult enough for you, that's your problem.

This is a public forum moderated by volunteers (like myself). Political discussions get out of hand immediately and as a result are not allowed, plain and simple. We're not the police. There's other discussion boards out there if you need to tell someone how you feel the world should be.

Test equipment is not illegal in any state, nor are emissions required for race vehicles.

Are you looking to eliminate the CEL for secondary air sensor errors? I had to do this for an old pathfinder that the factory ECU code could not compensate for a range error.

Dealer wanted to sell me a new ECU to get the new programming. No thanks, I built the circuit for less than $5.
