Did a few searches but cant find anything on how to fully remove the entire section. Need to get down to shifter housing. Bonehead moment was cleaning truck using that sticky green slim on shifter to get all the dirt. Well got distracted when i came back it worked down the housing.

I have removed armrest portion, cup holder and trim covering shifter. Trying to remove the housing that butts up to the dash on the floor. I removed 3 screws near back by armrest, two screws below cigarette lighter area and broke loose those stupid plastic screws by driver and passenger foot well. But it feels like something is still bolted dont want to break anything.

    Any help would be appreciated

It pops right up, just pull up. No need to remove any screws etc. search YouTube for 2nd gen tundra dash.

Any luck removing the lower console that surrounds the gear shifter? I’m trying to access the shifter housing as well and cannot get the last console piece out.

You'll need to remove the 2 bolts in the bottom of the floor of console bin.
Then that entire console assembly will come out...
They are under the bottom piece of felt/carpet on the bin floor..

Don't forget the 2 clips on the front of the hump by the floor board..

    How do I know that?

I was afraid of that. Guess I had better find some projects that involve removing the center console to take advantage of the time it is removed.

Thanks for the guidance, lowlife; it is appreciated.

i just installed the center console into a truck that didnt have a center console. first thing i did was install the rear half of the console, aka, the "main" console, w/lid and such. there were 4 bolts holding it down under the felt bottom of console.

the piece connecting that part to the dash went in afterward. now... i did not have the shifter to contend with as i left mine on the column. but the only thing holding that in was the 2 screws towards the rear(one just to the right of the drivers side right thigh, and one just to the left of the passangers left thigh)... the 2 plastic rivet things up under the dash, and the 2 screws atttatching it just below the cig lighter piece. and again, i installed it after the main section of the console, so it shoudl be able to be removed without removing the main console, unless something with the shifter module changes that.

but, your truck looks like a 3rd gen, and ive seen a lot more people that have done the console/jump seat swap in that forum, so you may be better off asking there @CoCotton .
