Can someone explain how replacing the alternator fuse with a Diode increases the charging voltage ? Thanks

The diode lowers the battery voltage signal sent to the alternator voltage regulator, this raises the output of the alternator same amount.

Looking to buy the Odyssey OBC-12A AGM battery charger from the maker of my ODX-AGM27F battery in my 2019 Tundra. Can anybody tell me if there are any dangers to the instruments and electronics i.e., things on standby power, alarm, etc. if I charge the battery while connected in the truck?
    Thanks.

    Tastefully enhanced...
You're good to go while key is left in "on" position...just make sure you're input is less then your output and you'll have nothing to worry about...

I have an optimate charger and charge all the time while connected, charger even came with a neat little cord to connect to the battery easily without using clamps.
