Sounds like a misfire. Better double check with a OBD2 meter. You really shouldn’t be driving when it’s flashing unless you know for sure.

    Misfire.

Get someone to read the codes and replace coils/all the plugs if they are old. Many people will recommend OEM coils but a lot of guys have had good luck with MSD ones.

Solid light, code is registered that needs to be checked and addressed. Flashing light is reserved for serious codes that could affect drivability and potentially damage the drive train. Get a code reader and check the code before moving the vehicle.

Like others have said flashing check engine light is serious issue. Turn off asap. Get one of those code readers on Amazon. I use the Veepeak blue tooth along with Torque Pro to monitor system parameters. Do unplug it if you don't wish for it to drain your battery when you park.

Try putting some dry gas in the tank to make sure it isn’t water causing the issue.

Gas that has ethanol in it that has been sitting in your gas tank for a months will do this also.
