Chrome bumper delete: powder coat vs plastic dip.

I had my chrome rear bumper powder coated for $100. I'm thinking the same for my front unless there is an aftermarket that's around $300 that doesn't rust. My worry is chipping with powder coat or plastic dip. Any suggestions?

 

I did plastidip and it has not held up well. Bad enough I ordered a Demello Off-road bumper to take care of the situation.

I did plasti dip followed by some bedliner in a can. Its been about a year and I can't see any issues. I only did the plasti-dip because I wanted reversibility in case I didn't like it.
