My 2018 tundra came with a camper shell and it fits so close to the cab I can't get anything between the two to clean the window. My cab window is a sliding deal, but my camper shell is a fixed window. Anybody figured out how to clean the outside of both windows without taking the shell off ? Its getting pretty nasty and I'm going half way across the country in a few weeks.

    thanks
    Charlie

They make those window cleaners you attach to a hose. Maybe this can help or else just slide the camper back a couple feet and get to work.

I jacked around with this Yesterday and just used a thin stick with a rag on the end and had to reattach it 3 million times and it barely made a dent at all.

Sp it is either slide the hell back or find a ferret to work for you and we all know that ferret are not all that productive in general too?

    1st world problem I think.

If you can’t squeeze anything in there, then your only option is to slide it back. It’s not that hard or heavy. Just have to unclamp it, then lift and slide. I’m old too but can do that by myself. I just can’t take it off the truck completely by myself.

Maybe look for a squeegee with a long handle.

    Unclamp the Shell
Get inside it and lift it with your back like a turtle shell
Slide it back a few feet

Yeah there are shells and then there are shells.

Mine is a chore and 1/2 to move at all and is clamped and bolted in place too.

Then the side boxes are full of stuff and the alignment on the truck is pretty specific too,it is not a job to be taken lightly!

    YMMV I hope!

My Leer caps had a window that I could remove for cleaning, but this was not an option on my new ARE DCU cap. I am going to spray "Lemon scent Scrub free Total bathroom cleaner plus foaming oxi clean", then use a brush and high pressure water this spring after the pine pollen subsides. My cap is bolted down, an this old white guy isn't to unbolt and move it either.

I have an ARE that weighs probably 150 lbs so I assumed he had something like that. Mine has 4 clamps that can be easily unbolted. I forgot about the bigger and heavier ones.

Thin stick, or better flexible fiberglass rod, with a Ziptied Microfiber Towel on the end. Dunk in warm soapy water and have at it down the slot. Rinse with garden hose. Patent Pending.

That would work for light dust, but it won't work for thick pine pollen with mold growing in it.
That yellow / green shit needs a powerful Tim the Tool Man solution.

Sir, your patent is no longer pending... it has been approved.

5/16" dowel, zip tie, Microfiber towel. Works like a charm. Thanks

Hockey stick with a soapy towel attached to the end. You can rotate the stick to get the towel end into the glass.

    Try out the Windshield wow!

I like mine and I bet the magnet and pad would clear the gap.
