2020 Tundra Climate control panel not working after aftermarket amplifier installed. The panel illuminates slightly but no numbers, symbols, etc. just a completely blank screen. Also the outside temp gauge just says “E” where the temp should show. I noticed both of these immediately after the amplifier install. I’ve since uninstalled the amp and wiring and put everything back to factory. I’ve checked all fuses that I can find and everything looks good. Please help!

You are giving us little to no information required for us to help you with your problem. I understand that this is your first post, but we need much, MUCH more detail.

    - which trim level of Tundra do you have? SR5, TRD PRO, Platinum, 1794, etc (as the HVAC control panel differs with trim level)
    - in what manner did you install your amp? Did you use a line out converter/processor?
    - did you connect anything besides the amp?
    - did you install any other equipment during said install?
    - do you have any photos of the install?

With the little information that you provided, I could only say that maybe you damaged your HVAC control panel or the wiring harness that connects to it?

You are going to have to give us much more detail.

This is without a doubt the most common cause of electrical gremlins.

My Tundra is doing this exact same thing.
Temp Displays an "E" and A/C control panel isn't working. All the lights are on, however the A/C won't come on.

    2016 Toyota Tundra SR5 4x4 TSS w/Trailer brakeing system.

Background: fuse blew to cigarette lighter. Found out it was a power fuse not the cig fuse. During which time the trailer brake system was unplugged from fuse block. After plugging back in, truck had red warning stating that the controller had an error take to dealer. Howver I reset the ECM, it went away. However, then the 4HI, 4LO lights came on, as well as the Brake and ABS light... the ECM fuse wasn't plugged in completely. Fixed issue, reset ECM, things back to normal except the AC no longer functions and the EXT Temp shows an E. I have used a test light to test all fuses under dash and under the hood. They all test good. Reseated all AC fuses, still dead. Anyone have an ideas?

@Dayfee I figured mine out. There's a fuse above the ECM fuse in the cab. My fuse diagram shows that there's not even supposed to be a fuse there!! Which is NUTS. However, there is supposed to be a fuse there, it control the head unit and external temperature. Talk about some BS. The dang cover shows it to be a blank fuse, but sure enough I just thought, just maybe, and I stuck a fuse in It and everything started working again. It's the one that's the biggest pain in the butt to get too. It's next to the hood latch release. I had to pull the whole stinking panel off to get to it.

Can you take a picture of which fuse you added? I blew my power outlet fuse with my inverter and subsequently lost my climate cluster as well.

I know I’m digging up old news, but is there any update on this? 2 months in to owning my first Toyota and I’m trying not to kick myself if this thing is going to give me fits with electrical. It’s my weakest automotive skill lol. 92° here today and no AC!
