    Hey everyone...

My '16 Tundra Crewmax SR5 cloth front seats are TERRIBLE.

I did some searching and only found an old post with same complaints and the community disagreeing.

But seriously these seats are the worst. 1hr drive to/from work and I am wiggling adjusting stretching and it makes my back burn like hell.

I can not find a good spot. It just sucks ass to me. If I had test drove trucks for months like I should have, I unfortunately would never have bought this because it IS that bad of a seat.

I love my Tundra. I am a Toyota go to and American made all the way. But come on. I am seriously considering trading.

Anyone else have a perfect adjustment or gripe ?

    Replace with Katzkin- done.

I liked the cloth ok but wanted leather. The Katzkin kits are awesome and you can do it DIY.

I don’t have a problem with the comfort of the seats but the “cloth” stains very easily in my 2019, constantly cleaning them....plus if you get them wet then it will leave a water mark as well.

    Getting Katskins ASAP

I had the cloth seats in my 2014 SR5 and thought they were very comfortable. I kept the lumbar adjusted out a bit, but thought they were good.
I also had staining issues on mine even when just trying to clean them with water!?
Now I have a TRD PRO and like the leather seats a lot. I am not sure if I just like the looks of the black leather or if the comfort is any better since it is too early yet to tell.

Not sure if they are any different in the newer models, but the cloth seats in my '13 are super comfy.

Yeah my seat is comfy to me.... 4 hour river drive are common, no issues. Took a 4 hour trip in the 18 carry and I was cracking my back for 3 days. They are leatherette and race stylish.

But I do agree the gray parts of the seat stain with even just river water. But nothing a good cleaning doesn't fix

You can trade it in on a Ford or Chevy and never have to worry about driving it that long to see if they are uncomfortable

Not sure I can give advice other than buy better covers and cushion

I never had a Tundra with cloth seats, had a Tacoma with them but they were comfy, the truck was just small

Compared to the 03 tacoma I had before, the sr5 seats are very comfortable. I took about a 6 hour round trip drive before in my taco and then took the same drive not too long ago in my tundy and the difference is crazy. The taco seats were cloth, and my tundy seats were upgraded to katzkins before I took it home so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

No issues with comfort here either. I dont like cloth seats because of the amount of dirt out here. It seriously gets into the cloth and is hard as hell to get out. Leather upgrade will be in the future.

I had cloth in my 2013 Tundra and thought they were uncomfortable. When I got my 15 I added Katzkins and seat warmers and love it. I have done 12+ hr drives in a day and no complaints. I think the Katzkins leather feels better than the Toyota leather in my wife's Highlander.

I love my cloth seats too. They fit me good. When I do an interior detail, I hit them up with ScotchGuard. I'm stain free so far, and most dirt comes up with a warm wet cloth. I had briefly looked into Katzkin, but the prospect of summer swampA$$ didn't appeal to me.

Bought my truck used, and it had a couple of spots that had fabric repaired. Drove me nuts, found a upholstery gal around the corner, and just paid my deposit. Custom leather, black/blazing blue pearl panels. Even adding a pillow top type cusioning and custom embroidery. All for the same $ as katskins. And (in my best trump voice) believe me, I will be posting pics asap!!

You could recover my seats with the most expensive leather and they would still suck. A bath towel folded up and stuffed into the corner fixes the problem for me. TOYOTA cloth was a lot better quality back in 1998.

    I keep it really clean!
I have zero problems with my cloth seats in my '17 TRD off-road. I have to be a little self conscious about keeping them clean and not getting in covered in mud, but other than that I have never had any comfort issues. The longest I've driven in it in one single trip was only three hours tho. But there have been days with all my running around where I feel like I'm driving all day long with quick stops in between and no issues there either. No complaints

Bad seats are driving my boss’s 2017 F150 Platinum for 2 hours, only 1 of many reasons I bought a Tundra.

When I bought my SR5 07 in 2014 the seats had nice simulated leather covers by GT Covers made down the road from me. They had some padding and were quite comfortable. I love my real leather seats in my new to me 14 Limited. I used a cheap Browning badged seat cover over my rear bench in my 07. It's true that the cloth stains easily. Best to cover them up!

Hmmmmmm? Not sure what to advise you on making them more comfortable. I do however like my Marathon seat covers and wouldn’t hesitate to order another set. After three years, they look almost brand new. Keep in mind, my Tundra isn’t my daily driver.

My 15 SR5 is way more comfortable, to me, than the Lariat I had previously. I did have a 14 1794 before my 15 SR5, but only for a few months. That thing is WAY too fancy for a road builder like me.

I make a 4 hour trip to and from DFW to Oil field country at least twice a week with no complaints.

My Dad passed in January, and I’m the only one in the family with a truck so I make trips from DFW, TX to Ohio about every other month to help out with hauling. / moving things. No complaints from me.

In fact the exact opposite. My 15 has over 130k miles on it and I never think twice about jumping in it to run up to help family with whatever they need. Couldn’t say the same if I still had my Lariat or SLT Chevy 1500. I’ll check the tires for pressure and wash out my K&N air filter and off I go.
