2006 Tundra, V8 engine. A friend was replacing spark plugs and dropped a "spring" from one of the coil packs into the cylinder. I want to make an attempt to get the spring out before he has it hauled to a mechanic. Anyone have experience with this? I have a magnet on a stick and a long reach expanding claw cable. I don't know the spring material. Hoping it is not stainless or some other non-ferrous type. Thanks for any advice!

    It's good
Magnet, homemade paperclip hook, HP sprayer off a compressor (with goggles on). I'm sure you can get that out.

I would try a shop vac with smaller hose duct taped to the larger shop vac hose. Stick the hose in spark plug hole and seal the gap around the hose and spark plug hole with a rag or something and see if you can get it.

Fairly sure it's a steel spring. Just pop the spark plug out, run magnet on a stick down the hole. Mine has a pivot head about 3" up like this, I'd angle it slightly for wider sweep.
