    I have a 2000 SR5 AC 4x4 4.7l.

    It's color is..."Blurple."

The topper's roof is peeling, and I would like to repaint it.

Can anyone help me identify what Toyota called this color, so I can find a duplicolor or something to repaint the topper?

    TIA

I'm partly colorblind so have learned the hard way this is what you do:

Take the fuel door to the auto paint shop. Not all BL7 are the same. It would help if you can clean, compound, and polish the fuel door before you take it in. Let them match it up with their samples and the "sunlight" handheld light they have. Or color scan tool, depending on where you go.

This is a good call for sure.

However, the truck has...ahem...patina. Really it's just the top that needs something, the rest of the topper is fine. I'm toying with masking off from just above the side windows on down.

Can anyone recommend a user friendly "Duplicolor" or "Restoration shop" or similar type paint that I can get in pint or quart size?

Now that I have the color number, I would like to use a friendly acrylic lacquer to shoot the top of my bed cap with.

Contact a couple local autobody paint suppliers, one may be able to mix OEM color paints in a spray can.

Also can be found online as 'touch up' paint in a spray can. If there is no one local.
