...sounds like a great fucking idea.

I've managed about 6 hours of fitful, inconsistent sleep in the last 48 hours. Been fighting sinus congestion bad enough I thought my eyes would pop out.

I finally managed to get it knocked back to tolerable levels so I can go to work tomorrow. Here's my recipe for "fuck you clogged sinus cure"

    - 2 capsules of Dayquil
    - 5000mg of echinacea
    - 800mg of ibuprofen
    - Tall glass of whiskey and egg nog.

Seemed to help alot but I'm still dog tired and need to sleep tonight. The Nyquil box states "Combining alcohol with Nyquil may increase drowsiness effects".

Yep, gonna be another whiskey and egg nog before bed I think.

    EDITED because I can't math.

Ah yes, the good ol' hot toddy. A Newfie I worked with told me about those. I almost forgot about those.

It's actually really good. I'm all out of rum. Why is the rum always gone?

Oh I did. I ended up having a hot shower, followed by soaking my face under a hot towel then finally the netty pot with water as warm as I dared. Still took about 15min for it to finally break through. Shit was like concrete in there.

Bourbon, which is a type of whiskey, and egg nog. For the past two weeks, pseudophed and ibuprofen washed down by Gatorade, followed by a small (yeah, right) shot of good bourbon has worked for me. Good bourbon with egg nog is the best egg nog, unless you like brandy, rum, spiced rum or nothing in your egg nog, your call.

Ha. Good catch. It's 800mg of Ibuprofen. The echinacea pills are 2500mg. So I took 2x 400mg Ibuprofen, and 2x 2500mg echinacea. I don't math well when I'm sleep deprived. LOL

And on that note, I think it's time for bed...

A while back I had some hip issues, I took 800 mg of ibuprofen 4x a day. After about 4 or 5 days, my digestive system was a wreck, but my hips felt good. When I finally got to my orthodpedic dr, he said "well, you proved why the limits are there. Here's a shot of cortisone." No more issues.
