As title states, I’m constantly having to jump my truck, especially in the cold. I got a brand new battery in the fall, because I figured mine was already 5-6 years old. I have installed a remote starter, and a full system from taco tunes. As well as front camera that is hooked in to aftermarket head unit. Every light has been changed to LED. If I lock the truck the issue doesn’t seem to happen as often, but when it is super cold I have to jump it if I leave it for more than a day. Not sure what my problem is, should I get new contacts for the battery connection? It starts up immediate when I jump it also.

You could clamp it with an ammeter to see what kind of draw you’re having when you’re truck is off. It’s possible something like remote start isn’t properly installed. If you’re seeing a decent amount of current draw you will have to isolate until you find what’s doing it.
I’d also check the new battery and alternator just to rule those out.
    Good luck.

from one Jay to another! Same as above.....see what the draw is with everything off......sounds like something isn't hooked up right with the battery being dead all the time.

Start by disconnecting your dash cam from constant power. Hook it up to a USB that turns off with ignition and see if that fixes it.

Our trucks seem to have several sources for phantom electrical drain but 1 day to empty the battery is severe.
Start as mentioned above, with a fully charged battery and the key off, hook up a meter and see what you are drawing. Then, pull fuses, one x one and check the effect on the meter each time. Once you isolate the cause it’ll be easier to fix

Try removing the ground cable overnight. Reconnect the ground cable the next day and try it. If it won't start the truck, or cranks slowly because of obvious discharge, it's the battery. Batteries that lose charge overnight, just setting there with no load, are on the way out.

Batteries today are made with higher percentage of recycled lead; they are not equal to batteries made 5-6 years ago.

    Function before sparkle.
What kind of remote starter do you have?

Bad battery just because new doesn’t mean its not the problem. Also make sure terminals are really clean.

Can't agree more than this.... I needed a new Toyota battery every 3 weeks to a month..
