I am trying to decide between these two tires. Any opinions on them for performance, quality or features. I doubt there is any measurable difference in MPGs between these tires as they are close to the same weight for each size. I am looking at the 275/70/18 sizes.

I just replaced my 4Runner Cooper AT3 LT with Toyo AT3 and I put Toyo AT3’s on my 2014 Tundra same time. The Toyo’s are excellent tires. I had them in my Tacoma. They are always round and balance well. Not a cheap tire, but a good tire.

We have had some snow last few days and they did awesome on the Tundra. I’m running 285/70/R17’s in E-load on both the 4Runner and Tundra.

I replaced my old coopers (275/70R18 E) with toyos (35x12.5R17 E). I've been pretty disappointed by how much road noise they make. I was pleased with the coopers on a trip to sand hollow, utah. The toyos seem to grip well, though I haven't given them a true off road test yet. My next set will probably be back to the coopers in 37x12.50R17 D.

I'm replacing my Coopers AT3 275/55 20 with the same thing this Thursday. They work well in snow, don't "sing" on the open road, and have a 60K rating. I've been very pleased with them. Welcome from Penna the Rust Belt. 274.00/tire

To be fair, it’s hard to avoid road noise with a 35x12.50 with any tire that has any sort of aggressive tread. I had that size in the wildpeak everybody loves and those had some road noise too. That’s a large contact patch. My Toyos have been relatively quiet and great in all conditions so far in a 34x12x17.

I just bought the at3 xlt in 275/70. They ride really nice. Obviously no rain yet to test, but no road noise, they look huge for their size. The kid installing it has 35s on his tundra and he could not believe these were only 275/70’s

I did a lot of research before my purcahse of the Cooper AT3. The Cooper tires wasn't even considered but it was cheaper than the others. Before buying the Cooper AT3 I looked through a lot of pictures on this forum to confirm it is the look I wanted with a tire size of 275/70/18 I'm getting to go on the gun metal gray Ray10 wheels. Reading this thread it sounds like we have the same combo with gray wheels on gray color truck... only I didn't ceramic coated my wheels before tire install.

Only a few members have this set up of gun metal gray Ray10 on MGM color Tundra and I'm very happy with this set up. Look of the tires was most important and Cooper AT3 looks great. The performance came as an after thought but they are incrediblity quiet and not loud on the freeway. Traction, it rarely snow in TX so as long as I don't drive like a dumbass in the rain the performance will suffice like any other all-terrain tires.

    Good luck on your decision.

Thanks. Need new center caps for the RW wheels but they are unobtainium. The caps on now were beat but I primed and painted them for now. I’ll 3D print some new center caps after the holidays. Still working to dechrome the Big Brown Beaver but yeah, liking the RW wheels and Toyo AT3’s on it for sure.

I’ve had my Cooper AT3’s for about a year and a half now and have been happy with the performance. Very quiet on the road especially for the first 10k or so. A little hum at 60 now but nothing annoying. Trail, Rain and snow performance has been excellent! Only real complaint has been ice performance. We had a few bad freezing rain days here in the Pacific Northwest last winter and my truck was sliding a bit when coming to a stop. Not exactly conditions that AT tires are made for, but I was hoping for a bit better stopping control. Overall, I’d recommend them!
