Have you checked with your local dealer to see what they charge and if there is a promotion going on???

They just did mine for free when they did the 3 recalls that I had open because it was just under the cut off for the two years of free maintenance.. you also have a 2018, may still be able to squeak a freebie in depending on when your truck was purchased?
    (Otherwise.. I do them myself.)

$39 for an oil change? They must be using a conventional oil and not synthetic. Synthentic Oil and Filter alone will cost more than $40.00

Mine runs $83.91 for a full synthetic oil and filter change.
That is $55.60 for the oil, $6.95 for filter, $1.41 for gasket, and $19.95 for labor.
    Excluding Tax.

The shop list prices for synthetic and blended seem to smoke us around here. $80-$90, after tax, on average.

Dang some of you guys are getting great deals. I saw a sign at my dealer charging $120 for a synthetic change/tire rotation plus "inspection". They don't inspect anything so don't fall for that. I started doing all my own maintenance after the Toyota care services ran out. Every time I picked up my truck or my wife's 4runner after the service and "inspection" I was low on washer fluid, had a dirty engine air or cabin air filter or the tire pressure was off and they wrote on the sheet that all was well and full. The last straw was when the 4Runner was a quart low after they changed the oil. The dealership is a racket. They only care about their bottom line. Changing the oil is easy and gives you a chance to give everything a once over. I buy the oil at Costco when its one sale. I can usually get a case of 6 qts of Mobile 1 for about $20-$25 so I buy a few and have enough on hand to change my truck and the 4Runner.

$30 for 2, 5 quart jugs of Costco 0w20, $7 for an OEM oil filter, $1 for a crush washer. Total $38 and 1 hour of wrenching, which is therapeutic.
