Crooked leaf spring 2021 Tundra

    IMG_0652.jpg IMG_0654.jpg Today I noticed my bottom leaf is a bit crooked in the pack. From what I’ve measured, the axle has not shifted and everything is tight. What could cause this or is it for some reason supposed to be like this? First image is the driver side that is shifted compared to the passenger side.

    It’s very common. When the truck flexes the springs actually twist. The twisting is what makes it rotate. You can take a sledge hammer and knock it back if it bothers you.

    Sometimes it's intentional. The last, or first depending on your perspective, spring in the pack is designed to act as an overload spring. Note that big ole compression washer? It's there for a reason
