I need to replace the sunroof glass in my 2006 DC Limited. I think.

The rubber surrounding the glass has become malformed in a couple of places. It's basically pushed both away from the glass edge and up from the glass at the same time. This is all at the rear edge of the sunroof so I can't slide it back and if I tilt it up it doesn't go back down.

If the sunroof was symmetrical front to back I could probably turn it 180 degrees and be fine. I'm not 100% sure about that idea not working. Any one have a clue on that?

As for replacing the glass, I haven't found an aftermarket source, so I'm looking at wrecking yards or auto recycling as they now call it. I've read that the Sequoia from 2001 to 2007 uses the same part. Is that correct?

I'm in Southern California and we have tons of Sequoias around, most of which seem to be Limited models so if the part is the same I may be able to find a decent replacement.

    Any thoughts?

Your 06 DC LTD shows same part #as my 04 DC LTD....63201-0C010 along with certain year Sequoia's. Have you attempted to remove the glass panel ?

I had my frame and glass out for a good clean and lubrication. What I can't remember if the it's an equal rectangle which would allow you to rotate gasket 180 and/or massage rubber. I also don't remember if rubber can even be removed to accomplish that, so not much help.

Get a panel cut and rolled to fit the hole. Weld it up and paint. Lighter and no leaks, plus now no theiving access point. Sorry just being cheeky. I think your best bet is another unit from similar vehicles. Sunroofs are so 2000’s. The super cheap, redneck way is to silicone that baby shut, where one tube works, two work better.

Thanks @BubbaW for confirming that Sequoias 2001-2007 and all 3 years of Gen 1 DCs share the same part.

I've had the glass out. It's held in by 4 small Phillips or Torx head screws. I had it out to try gluing the rubber back into place. That repair lasted about 8 or 9 months before the repair gave and the rubber became even more distorted.

Maybe I'll get off my lazy ass and try the 180 degree turn.

To @rouxster70 - I love the sunroof. It’s high enough off the ground that most thieves wouldn't take the time to climb up that high, plus, how many pickups have a sunroof? One of my favorite things to do is open the sunroof, roll down all the windows including the back window. It's like having a convertible but none of the downsides of a flappy fabric top.
