Anyone successfully remove DCM from toyota Data communications module.2021 tundra. i think the previous owner might have had the app and i see that the dcm bars move up and down. I want to remove this permanently any ideas how?

Is calling toyota or contacting the toyota app the only way?

The only foolproof way is to pull the dcm fuse but in my experience that means you also lose the oem Bluetooth mic. The other way is to call Toyota and ask them to turn it off and then disconnect the antenna by unplugging it. It will still transmit when you are close to a cell tower though.

some folks have had luck disabling it through the app, but apparently data would still transmit occasionally.
Sign into the Toyota app > Tap profile image in the upper right corner > Account > Data Privacy Portal > Select your vehicle > Drive Pulse Accepted > Manage Consent > Decline.

There’s actually a harness available to bypass the DCM and retain the microphone and speakers. The guys over on the 4Runners and Tacomaworld forums have had success. I’ve purchased the harness and mean to test it out on my 2021 soon. I can report back with results once done.

Called toyota connect services and asked if they could disable my dcm module, took 15 minutes and now its disconnected. We'll see if i picks up signal tomorrow driving to work. if it does will look into disconnecting the antenna fin on top of the roof. Any idea where the plug is?
