Two months ago had the same complaint. They replaced the lid. Here we are last week same complaint, this is their fix. Is the rattle gone? Yes. Does it look like shit? Yes. Should I be bothered or just shut up? Tryin not to be a diva here but c’mon now.

Unacceptable. Go back and let the diva out. Oh and change dealer right after they fix it.

I mean it fixed the rattle......but it DOES look like shit. Is it worth going back to the dealer to make a stink? I wouldn't. I would go buy some foam or felt tape or something like a rubber cabinet bumper and install there. Cheap solution and will be easier on the eyes.

Like Shawn said above, some diy felt tape or felt bumpers in black would be cleaner. I wouldn’t trust a dealer that passes that “fix” as such.

I put some felt (like for under furniture) on the bottom lip of the lid. Can’t see it and it shuts much tighter without rattle. Should I have to with the price of a loaded platinum? No. But this is the biggest issue I’ve had. Not worth complaining.

    Here's the question,
If that's what they came up with after rubbing all their braincells together, what makes anyone think that they'll come up with something better if it's brought back?
At least it's something you can easily do yourself.

I had the same rattle, it is a design flaw that the two posts that you rest on are held only on 3 sides and not 4 by screws. I took apart the console and played with it till it squeaked the same way and came up with a fix for a bad design flaw. video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zngQidFI-G8

VERY helpful. Awesome video and explanation. I had the same issue (like everyone else probably) and Toyota replaced the lid under warranty. No squeaks for now but I'm sure it will return and once it does I will definitely be doing this.
