I am looking in to purchasing a 2022. We have two local dealerships, 1 marking up vehicles over MSRP and 1 not marking up over MSRP. Problem is that Gulf States Toyota doesn't have availability at all right now to get what I want. I am in Mississippi so I could drive to Alabama or Tennessee to buy and get what I am looking for since they are not Gulf States. Anyone aware of dealerships not doing market adjustments in Alabama and/or Tennessee?

I'm surprised they are still asking markups with gas prices so high. My local dealers have communicated to me that they will negotiate back down to MSRP if I sit down with them. I've been waffling on getting a Tundra for a week now, and the Tundras are still on the lot, and the salesman are actually reaching out to me on a regular basis.

Total opposite of 4 weeks ago.

I know what I want but can't find it as of now. For Gulf States Toyota, when you do build and price, it shows no packages available at all. I can get what I want if I go to Southeast Toyota and build and price though.

    i believe you should contact:

Toyota of Dothan in Alabama or

    Pitts Toyota in Georgia or

    Beaman Toyota of Nashville Tennessee

:fingerscrossed:it appears that some dealerships are offering zero markups on only 2wd an not in 4wd so definitely check that good luck and Let us know what you find out.

Just got back from Beaman nashville. I am on their list for when they get more allocations. They are at MSRP with no dealer add ons. They did take my credit card and ID info in lieu of a deposit. Now I just have to wait for them to get an allocation that I like.

I just got my Platinum 4x4 from Estabrook in Moss Point, MS this week. I dealt with Sam Jordan, told him what I wanted and they managed to match an allotment to it…received the truck within 4 weeks. No markup but I did have to put down a $1000. They seem to be getting in 2022’s quite often so you might want to touch base with them if you’re in south Mississippi.

That’s why i hate GST. They’re one of if not the worst private distributors in the United States.

I am with you on that one. They are the last remaining distributor. They need go the way of the dinosaur. I have 2 problems with them. They like add ons and to control the packages they sell.

I'm also looking into a 2022 Lunar Rock. I went to the dealer yesterday but I went away not feeling like he knows what I'm wanting in the Tundra I would want to buy. It was rather quick (10 minutes) and he did write out a sheet and I guess he was looking at the allocations. I'm not too sure if he can see all the allocations for the area, or just theirs, but there was a listing he was viewing. He told me all the packages I want were no problem, it was the Lunar Rock and the SR5 that may be an issue. I told him I was open to a limited as its only 2000 more. But anyway, I just went home feeling very much like its all up in the air and there's no telling what will happen and their attitude is they don't care whether you buy it or not. I guess that's the lay of the land right now.

I'm new to the forum but not new to Tundra's. I had a 2010 red Tundra, and an orange 2017. Traded the 2017 in for a Tacoma. Not particularly excited in how it drove. Nice truck, lots of nice options but that poor transmission needed help. It was "choppy" and it was having trouble deciding what gear to go into. Traded it for a Gladiator. They're nice. They're fun. But I've driven so many big trucks for so long I miss them. The Tundra blows the Ram and F150 away in reliability so here I am.

I'm in Pennsylvania. There's multiple dealerships within an hour or so from me all with varying markups and such. I'm hoping these guys are pros and have done this a million times which is why it was quick and dirty. However, they really need to take a bit more time to go through what's happening and how they communicate (or not) with Toyota .

My feeling was they were marking it up and it is what it is. The other trick I saw was there's a few dealers that don't allow you to see the sticker so they can mark it up and you won't know until much later in the process. But if you dig hard enough there's ways around that.

Sam Jordan…you can call (or text) him at (228) 596-4411. I just asked him if he minded me giving out his number and he said it was fine. Tell him ‘Hi’ from Gene if you get in touch.

The dealership is Estabrook Toyota in Moss Point.

I would go to Toyota of Dothan. Just picked up my SR5 TRD Sport CM in Blueprint from them this weekend. Sold right below MSRP and kept me up to date on my truck during the whole process. Placed my deposit of 1k down second week of December. Honored my trade value from December. Dana K is who I used and she was great, will be buying the 2023 4Runner from her for my wife. Don’t expect much from Panama City Toyota made contact with them in November and still waiting on that quote from them. I figured I drive there and let them change my oil at least.

There was one dealer in PA that do not markup the new Tundras. I forgot which one it was but it was located just south of Pittsburgh. If you're near the Maryland border, Younger Toyota (Hagerstown) and Thompson Toyota (Edgewood) do not add markups.

Ouch ! ...know the feeling, had a 14 Tundra and downsized to a Tacoma when I was downsized at work. Big mistake and glad to be back in Tundra again. Love the new look and would love to keep the 2nd gen along with a 3rd gen :)

Wow that's exactly where I am. Had a Jeep Wrangler in there too. Traded that because I missed a truck. Thought the Gladiator would be a fun truck to have because you can take the top off (which I do). But in reality, its fun for 20 minutes, after that its basically riding in a wind tunnel and you can't hear the radio. Its fun when you go off roading or something but my offroading basically entails me driving on some dirt half road half ditch while trying to get to some fishing hole.

When I ditched the 2017 Tundra I should have bought a new Tundra, but the local Toyota dealer doesn't play nice. I'm dealing now with a more easy going dealer I bought the Gladiator from.

I'm just hoping I don't have to start something because they 3000 or more over MSRP. I'll tell them to take a hike and wait until next year when hopefully consumers will have a more level playing field.
