    Hey everyone!
I just got single color demon eyes for the retrofit headlights im building but I’m stuck on how im going to wire them. Each board came with a black - and a red + wire. I want the demon eye to turn on with my DRL and then off when my low/high beams are on. Anyone know how I’d wire this? Can i just splice this into existing wires? Do i need a relay? Any input appreciated.
    Thanks guys

Dirt Deeds injectors, Addco rear sway, AEM dry flow air filter, last ever set of Stan's Try-Y headers, Borla full custom exhaust, front level, wheel spacers, and lots of electronics.
Daytime running light relay is a single NO pole, so you can't just hijack the unused NC pole. So, you'll have to use a relay for your purposes.

You will want to highjack the red/white wire on the DRL resistor harness to power a relay coil. Then use the NO contact to power your demon eyes.

Picture is for a standard automotive relay.

    Terminate relay as listed below:
    Pin 86 would be red/white DRL +
    Pin 85 to body ground
Pin 30 would be fused batt +
Pin 87 would go to red + your demon eyes

Daytime running lights on = demon eyes on.
Daytime running lights off = demon eyes off.

I'm sure shifty will chime in, don't use scotch locks in an area that will see moisture. You will have to splice in a more weather protected fitting. Best practice would be to remove the red/white wire and pin from the DRL harness, strip back a section of insulation off the wire, wrap the relay wire through and around the exposed copper, solder and heat shrink the connection, and then reinstall the spliced wire back into the harness.

See video below for exaggerated example.

@Riverdale21 thanks for the awesome input. I don’t want to seem difficult or anything but the DRLs on my truck dont turn off with when the headlights are on. I need the Demon Eyes to be off when the headlights are off to avoid color mixing

I think there may be some miscommunication. The DRL is just your headlights dimmed. There is also a small marker light in the headlight lens. Is that what you're referring to?

Ok, if you want your demon eyes to be on when your headlights are off you will put the red+ on the 87A pin of the above post.

Pin 86 would come from either the green/white or light blue wire, depending on which side headlight you're getting the trigger for the relay from.

This config would be headlights off, demon eyes on.

Those marker lights stay on constantly, with the headlight switch in any position. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I disabled my DRL and with the switch in the off position and my vehicle in drive no lights are illuminated (head, parking, marker, etc.)

So I’d need to use a 5 pin relay right? Would i need one for both sides?
For me my parking/DRL come on when i turn the selector to the first position, then comes headlights. They stay on with the headlights. I’ll attach pictures. The first image is just DRL/Parking Lights. The second is with my headlights on

Yes, standard 12v automotive relay with 5 pins. You don't have to get two relays you can feed both demon eyes from pin 87A on one relay.

I'm doing a DIY kit through TEQ Customs. Apollo 3.0 Shroud, Front and rear switchback Halos, white demon eyes, then I'm painting the reflector matte black. Here is a picture of the housings before the retrofit. I'm just waiting on parts to come in.IMG_9885.jpg

Looking forward to your install...they will look amazing. My son and I are looking at these for his 03 Sequoia, but I'm thinking we are just going to grab the "in-stock" plug and paly version.
