Digital cluster startup image.

Just had a dealer recall done and I think the digital cluster startup screen is now different.
Would Toyota ask to take. The car in just for that?

 

It’s different each time. It’s some National parks.

 

For me it had always been the same, some mountains with snow on them, now it's a yellow weed field.

There are 5 different images used at startup. It will change from time to time. Toyota did not recall your truck to change the picture on your gauges.

I have a 23. I see the same two parks over and over again, and a third one I've seen once.

 

after a while, dont even notice it anymore. nice gimmick in the beginning but meh. same goes for the 14in screen. had a static image on the 2018 tundra and the 2014 4runner, when the screen is off but never have the screen off so its a moot point. have a startup "TRD" logo on the center dash on the 14 4runner but barely notice it after so many years anyway.

Around 1500 miles my 2024 tundra stopped rotating through the scenes and primarily displayed the dark scene, sometimes straight to the gauges. I’m asking the dealer to look into at my first Toyota care visit.

 

If I’m running errands I see a few different views. Shutting it off and restarting a short time later cycles through them.

I always thought this was lame. It always has the same mountain dark image unless you have a quick cycle through like filling up gas and restarting then going a few miles to pick up something real quick (5min or less) then starting up again. In my opinion they should have a sw update to cycle through these or make it random.
