I put a set of Dirt King UCA’s on my Tundra and got the dust covers to protect the zerks. Now I want to grease them and I can’t get the dust covers off. Is there a trick to getting them off?

They’re tapered and I can’t get a screwdriver into the seam where the cap meets the uca.

sounds like removing a trailer axle metal bearing dust cap. Small cold chisel to tap into the joint might work well, but I’d be concerned about marring the finish.

The company says wrap a fine screwdriver with painter’s tape and work it into the seam. I tried that with no avail. I’ll try your method. Thank you.

Yeah I was thinking a screwdriver made for iphone repairs or glasses repair may work if you didn't already try something that size.

I found a flat nail puller tool and popped them off. I can breathe again. Ball joints are greased.
