    Hey guys,

First time poster. Truck is a 2019 4x4 Platinum Crewmax. Will be doing a 3" front lift in a few weeks to fit 35x12.50 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on 17x8.5 +0 Method MR701 wheels. All parts are here but not installed. Build thread to come...

Looked around the forum a bit and found a few write-ups on how to push the front liner forward so it doesn't rub with the new lift and tires. Some used a heat gun to warp it, some just cut out a plastic hole where it interfered, and some used washers/Coachbuilder shims to get 0.5". I didn't want to shim the bumper for esthetics but also didn't want a hole or heat up my plastic liner, so after some careful thought, this is what I came up with. I didn't see anyone else complete it this way. You just need a dremel and drill.

    1) Cut vertical lines

    2) Cut about 3/4" or as much as you can inward from the bottom edge.

    3) Drill stress relief holes so the cuts don't propagate over time

    4) Drill 3 holes through both layers (the cut section and the base). And bolt through and nut.

    5) Cut extra threads off to not interfere at reassembly.

    6) Reinstall. Measured at 3/4" more room than before. Remember the width of the section I cut is to anticipate the new position of the new wheels with their offsets. Yours might have to be wider. I don't see a concern with rain getting in as the fog lights are sealed, the water should flow backward, the distance from the foglights are far from the openings, and the water could easily come in between the bumper and grill by design anyways.

    Hope this helps someone!

Yes! Thanks man. Planning something very similar. Method mr312's in 17's. Hopefully in 35s also.

You're welcome. The MR312 was what I originally saw which got me looking into 17" Methods. Are you doing bronze?

    Welcome!

Yup! That's the plan for now. Plastidip it gloss black then when I get bored of it peel it off and enjoy they bronze then repeat the process with another color. Plasti dip is easier on the pockets then getting new wheels all the time.

The look of 17's on the 3/1 lifted tundras looks sick in my opinion.
