I’m not a maritime expert, but isn’t 70hp a lot for that boat?

Not at all. I had a 1982 Johnson 90 hp weigh 301 pounds. This new Yamaha weighs only 253 pounds and extremely quiet. Excellent machine to tow a skier in the back. A pleasure to have and enjoy. Now, just a need a slide in truck camper to extend the fun. :)

Watching. I’m been thinking about doing this and wondering how hard it would be. My goal would be to keep the weight down, since the payload is awful.

Confusing as your picture shows what you call ‘Double Cabin’ and the Specs look like they were pulled from a Regular Cab Spec Sheet.

You’ll be riding on Bump Stops with 2000 lbs wet weight in an Access Cab which has more Payload than the Double Cab.

Regular Cabs have the most Payload of all 3.

I may if the build is too heavy. I have extra wide HD tires on the truck.

Day 6 of my DIY pickup truck slide in camper build. The bad news is way over my $3k budget initially planned. The $4,560 does not include mattress (memory foam) yet, no batteries, no solar panel, no inverter, etc. 2 good news: (1) It has better aerodynamics vs my original design, because it will be a wedge tent above and a queen size bed above my double cabin, only 6” tall for the top. (2) it will be built all aluminum and no wood
