I just bought a 2020 tundra TRD Sport and am looking to get a lift installed. Don’t want to go level kit route because I had a 2011 Tacoma with a leveling kit and it rode rough. I was looking at the Toytec eibach kit but I’ve called 3 local truck shops that do lifts and they all said they’ve never heard of Toytec so they won’t install them. They install rough country though but I looked at their lift kits and they seem to use spacers which sounds like a leveling kit. Any help would be great

Yea, don't go to anyone that recommends rough country. Sounds like a bunch of big 3 poser boy shops. Toytec makes good stuff, you are correct you don't want a spacer lift. Toytec, Eibach, Bilstein, Fox, King, Icon, etc.

Many lifts use coilovers. Spacer is generally a more inexpensive route. Spacers on top of the assembly shouldn’t affect ride quality as no spring rates are altered, but a preload spacer will. Your budget will dictate what direction to take.

    Too many, but not enough....
Toytec is more toyota specific, which is probably why they said they ahvent heard of it. I think most everyone on this forum will tell you that toytec is superior quality to rough country.

Toytec coilovers do not use spacers, and if you want to avoid blocks in the back, get their shackles.

Well that’s why I was going the Toytec eibach route. It doesn’t use spacers and replaces the spring and it’s only $400 more expensive.

Is eibach not a toytec lift? Or are they two different companies with one product?

Toytec is a company that sells suspension products, some of which are their own in house brand.

Eibach makes the Toytec springs, just rebranded. The Toytec Aluma series are made by Elka.

The Toytec/Eibach kit should be all Eibach, springs and shocks. Just tell them they are an Eibach kit, because that is what they are.

They’ll install Rough Country but not Toytec that tells you 100% not to use that shop!!
