Installing these products on an interior switch. Total amp draw is as follows:

LED accent bar front grill - .61a
    LED pods footwell area - .02a/ea x2 = .04a
    total .65a

    switch is rated 15a

Need constant 12v, so will run a dedicated wire from battery with 3a inline fuse.

Do I need a relay or can I run from battery directly to switch?
What gauge wire is appropriate for the run (approx 7ft battery to dash)? 16g?

    products I intend to install

    light bar
    pods

    switch

You only need a relay if you’re using a different source for switched power. for example, you want to use your factory fog lights switch to control a high power light bar that pulls in excess of what the factory wiring is rated for. You’re using the factory wiring simply as a 12v switch to turn the relay on to draw power from the new harness that is connected to the battery.

If you’re running a new switch and running power to the battery, there is no need for a relay.

Ok thanks. Obviously, I'm not nearly approachin the draw of the switch.

16g ok for this? The chart online seemed to confirm
