I would love to upgrade my 5.7 camshafts with some low end torque lumps. I can’t find anything. Anyone know about this? I assume a guy would have to get a custom grinds... I did just send an email for a cam grinding company in BC here. I’ll update once they get back to me.

-edit- they never ever ever ever got back to me. Ever.

There’s been a few attempts to do this. They’ve failed. There is no benefit to lumpy cams on our trucks. At least not at the rpm we are used to.

Nobody has built a block and spun to 10k rpm...yet;)

It would be a very expensive mod for little gains other than the sound. You need 4 of them so labor would be expensive. I have an 03 Cobra (also a 4 valve motor), and it would cost roughly $2500 to upgrade the cams. They sound wicked when done, but at best I’d pick up 20-30hp on a car I’m already making 620hp.

    This^^^^

For bigger power, the most bang for your buck in order...

1.) Call @dirtydeeds : Ask about JBA LT headers and race exhaust
    2.) Install SC
    3.) Go super-nutty.... https://www.pureperformancemotorsport.com/index.php/toyota-tundra-3ur-fe-7-0l-stroker-kit.html

    Ha! That's the cheaper one...

There was one years ago for a 2007.
The newer one I referenced was originally $19K in 2014...

For that kind of money though, you could get a custom turbo system. There's a few out there folks have done on a 2nd Gen. Or you could just by a LS7 crate motor and be done with it...I think those are just over 500 hp out the box...

I've been playing around with a custom intake design and a true 'ram air' system...idea being more air in, along with head/port matching and polishing. Wont give the same SC gains but still...

OmG 16k for that piston stroker kit... wtf . I'd rather just supercharge it for that price. I can't afford either tho so it's irrelevant to me anyways lol

He says in the comments it's not worth it unless you're revving over 6k, which I have no plans to do. RIP to that thought :D he also said he's tried cams on a N/A truck and lost power everywhere, only blown going to 7k did any cams help which are these.
