Recently purchased a 2006 SR5 double cab from a dealer. It came with a single non-chipped key, no key fobs. Before I pay to have an alarm/keyless entry installed, did these models come with a factory alarm/keyless entry that I can just get a new fob for? Thanks

    I haven't seen an '05-'06 without.

There's a ton of keyless entry info here, including programming instructions, in the 'keys' section: https://www.tundras.com/threads/so-you-wanna-buy-just-bought-a-1st-gen-tundra-eh.115928/

Your truck should have come with the RS3200 system (OEM). You'll need a proper fob to test. Sometimes Double Cabs ("DC") have special instructions to program. Again, all this info is in the 'keys' area of that thread.

If you read that and the pages it links to, and still have questions, pop back in.

I think it's worth spending $20-40 on a used OEM remote on fleaBay, or a compatible remote (both must have the proper FCC ID) to test out before dropping money to let someone hack your wires up installing an alarm that'll die in 10-15 years anyway.

WARNING: Your truck, depending on your region, may've come with a dealer-installed kit too! Check heavily under the dash for buttons, black boxes, and an LED light before you proceed.

Many did. There will be hardware under the driver's side dash / kickpanel area if so. Probably a version of the RS3000. May even have a blinky light somewhere on the instrument panel.
