Does the Capstone have real wood trim?

My 1794 has what appears to be faux wood inserts on the console and on the doors. Wondering if anyone who has a 1794 or the Capstone chime in. I must say that the inserts on my truck look like real wood but I believe that they are fake.

 

According to JD Power's article, says it does.

I have read the Toyota’s adds regarding the real wood accent’s on the 1794 and the Capstone models. However my suspicion is that it’s another lie just like their brochure saying that the outside mirrors are self dimming.(When only the drivers side is self dimming)

 

Well, shoot. If you can't believe their published documentation, the next thing you guys are gonna tell me is that Toyota doesn't use real gremlins in their electronics but fake ones. Wtf is this world coming to with this fake shit.

 

Nice to see Toyota has gotten completely 'cheap', my old 2001 Limited 4Runner has real Oak wood trim, still looks new after all these years and 340,850 miles !

 

Real wood is unlikely as the push to go green has resulted in the ttv6 among other concessions that have tamed our “trucks”

 

I'm not buying that it is real wood in my Capstone at all. I think that's yet another marketing lie, but they probably blend enough "wood" into the plastic to be able to call it real wood for marketing.

 

Wondering if maybe it is an exceptionally thin veneer over a plastic or composite?
