I've searched and haven't seen exactly what I am looking for. I am wanting to get a kennel that will fit in the back seat of my truck. My old dog just layed in the backseat on a platform I made, but he was always trying to climb into the front seat or just moving around too much. Plus I would like him to be a little more secure if we are ever in an accident. I am looking specifically at a Gunner kennel in the intermediate size. Does anyone know if it will fit in the back seat of a crewcab with the seat bottom folded up? I've been told an intermediate size should be the right size for a lab so hopefully that will work.

I have a gunner intermediate in my back seat and it fits perfect. I am hoping to build a little platform to make the floor even, but with the back of the front passenger seat supporting it, it works well without it. Can't go wrong with Gunner, btw.

An XL Ruffland Kennel fits in the back of a Crewmax with the rear seat folded up. Just put your drivers seat front first before you put it in then put it back once it’s in. An XL fits my 80 lb Malinois perfect.

Thanks for the info. Do you guys strap the kennel down at all inside the cab? I was thinking about trying to hook up something to the seat belt or with the seat frames just incase there is an accident so the kennel doesn't move around the cab because my daughter will be in the back seat too.

I just push my seat back and if wedges the kennel in between the seats.

I don’t, but I don’t have a kiddo back there. If I did I probably would. I also just wedge the passenger seat back. I do it less than I used to though because I noticed if I did too much it would turn the passenger seat airbag off for some reason.
